"She's just a kid" My father thought aloud as we all exchanged looks to each other. "What do we do with her?" I asked concern etched on my face I wasn't exactly a fan of this kid knowing she was involved with the attack, but I couldn't imagine harming a child. "We find out what we can" Shalom responded. As if on cue two pack guards walked in through the front door. "Sir" One of the guards said to shalom "Take her downstairs and get her some clothes one of you keep watch while we clean up this mess. "Yes sir" They responded in unison. They grabbed both her arms and escorted her to the basement as she kicked and screamed trying to break free, but she was too weak in her human form to fight them off. "Where are the others" I asked afraid. " A few people got hurt but as far as I know no one died I didn't feel any links being cut so I'm assuming we're in the clear. The moment I got here all the rogues fled as if on command she's the only one we caught" Shalom gestured towards the basement. "Are you ok?" He asked walking over to Alex placing a hand on her head. "We're fine just shaken up" I said. "I'll go check on the others" My dad said shifting before darting out the door. Shalom spent most of the night checking on everyone and helping clean up, I was instructed by several others including my father to stay inside I shifted back shortly after everyone left. After cleaning up and finding something to put on I couldn't help this feeling nagging at me. I found a pair of old pants and the smallest shirt I owned and made my way into the kitchen. I made two sandwiches and headed down to the cellar to check on the girl. The guards were down there one at the door the other by her cell, they said nothing to me as I walked toward her cell only nodding to me out of respect. She was in the corner of the cell shaking one of the guards must have gotten her a blanket because it was the only thing covering her. It was relatively warm down here but given her size I'm sure she was still cold. "Could you open the door please?" The guard hesitated for a moment, and I raised an eyebrow at him. "Yes ma'am". I stepped aside allowing him to unlock it. "If you try and run you won't get far, and they may hurt you trying to catch you so stay still." I said to her. she never made eye contact with me she just crouched in the corner shaking, her eyes low to the floor. I placed the folded clothes on the bed and the plate with the sandwiches and stepped out of the cell. "Those are for you, so you don't have to sit there cold, and the sandwiches as well, I'll bring you a bottle of water in a bit." She stayed silent so I turned to walk away. "Th... Thank...you" I heard a very small voice say. Her voice was Shakey and raspy and I almost didn't hear her. I nodded and went back upstairs. "Couldn't help yourself, could you?" Shalom asked startling me as i came to the top of the stairs. "She may have helped her but she's a kid, and look at her...Do you really think she had a choice in the matter?" I asked walking toward him as he leaned on the kitchen door frame. "It doesn't matter, what if that kid had killed you? or your dad? Would she then be so innocent?" He asked. I hung my head he had a point whether she was forced to do this or not she was still a part of that woman's plan. As he said that the memory of that woman and the wolf came rushing back. "About that... I don't think they wanted to hurt me or kill me" I said unsure. "What makes you think that?" He asked pushing off of the door frame. "When Alex was fighting off that wolf. The woman said she didn't want 'their lord' Getting hurt." As i said those words Harlou came forward. "I knew it!! We're getting rid of it now!" He said his voice booming I'd never seen him so angry and there was a hint of something else. "Shalom?" I called to him as I saw his eyes change as he fought Harlou for control. "Harlou what are you talking about" I asked backing away from him. "I knew when you came back something wasn't right, before we bring that thing in the world ill kill it!" He said stalking off.

Shaloms Pov

"What the hell are you thinking?!" I shouted. this hairy asshole has finally lost his mind talking to our mate like that. "That is not our child!" He roared. "Yes, it is neither we or she knows exactly what that woman meant by what she said for all we know she could be crazy!" I Shouted back frustrated; I didn't know what to do being torn between my mate and my wolf but one thing i knew for certain is that id drink wolfs bane before I ever let him harm our child. "There has to be an explanation for what happened" I pondered. "There is none, that wasn't some crazy coincidence that right after she breaks the seal someone tries to come and take her and claims our child is their lord!" He said. "He's back I know it, if that witch was telling the truth we don't know what his plans are, but whatever they are it has something to do with lily and our pup" he said calmly. He shut me out, disappearing into the back of my mind. I decided to let things cool down I know he's my wolf, but I can only feel the need to protect the small life growing inside my mate, I don't know how this is going to go if we have conflicting feelings about this child. "Harlou!  Answer me or so help me... "What?" He answered annoyed... ANNOYED! He just caused all kinds of hell for me to clean up and He's annoyed? "Maybe we can go talk to the moon goddess, maybe she knows if..." I trailed off unable to finish the sentence. "Find out if I'll have to kill our only son?" I could feel the pain in his words, as paranoid as he's been I haven't noticed how scared he's been, how frustrated he's been, how helpless he's felt. "I'm fine, he said feeling my understanding. "Lets just go talk to her..
