Having a different perspective of Mathias made things a bit easier to understand, he was afraid. But it made me wonder would Shalom be afraid? I know tampering with fate is risky, but I've realized theirs so much that Harlou knows that we don't, we're in the dark with a lot of things. I just wish there was a better way of getting through this. I went back upstairs to check on him, still sound asleep he was snoring like a grizzly bear. I got a warm rag and wiped his forehead taking in how beautiful he was when he slept. I finished checking on him and went to find the grimoires i stashed away when we got here. I went downstairs to let him sleep, i don't think I'll be sleeping anytime soon anyway. I found the office we discovered earlier and went inside. Everything still seemed to be gibberish to me a lot of it in languages i couldn't understand. I came across one page that had some sort of seal on it with a white wolf in the middle. There was a small inscription underneath. "Ce tem armet diam" As i pronounce the inscription a loud boom shook the entire house i felt my blood run cold and i collapsed.

Shalom pov

I was awakened out of my sleep to the house rumbling, it sounded like an earthquake, a few of our things fell to the floor hitting the ground with a loud clash. I stumbled to my feet as the shaking stopped trying to find my footing. "Lily?" I called out to her, panic rising in my body, but she didn't answer back. The last thing I remembered was her bringing me upstairs and laying me in the bed. I could still feel the lingering effect of the wolfsbane. My head felt heavy, and my body felt like it was on fire. I ignored the pain grabbing a shirt that was laying on the bed i rushing out of the room calling out to her again, but she didn't answer back. The rumbling stopped and the house fell silent. I ran down the stairs looking in every direction, but she was nowhere to be found, i turned down the hall to see the office door open and a white light shining through it. As i got to the room it felt hot like someone turned the heat up, but it was only coming from this area. As i walked in the room the light dimmed out. Lily was lying on the floor holding a thick leather back book in her arms. "Lily, hey wake up!" I tried to pick her up, but her skin was hot to the touch. I grabbed her anyway my fingertips burning from the contact, i fought the urge to put her down and escape the burning of my skin. I walked her out to the living room and laid her on the couch. Still clutching the book i tried removing it from her arms. "Don't touch it" Harlou called out to me. "What why?" I asked. "I can feel whatever magic she just unleashed from that book it's still active and whatever it is could affect you too, leave it be." He warned me. "What kind of magic?" I asked afraid of the answer. "Old, I've only ever seen this kind when i was a servant to the demon king." He said. "Well, what are we supposed to do we can't just leave her like this." I said panicking. "Call on the moon goddess, maybe she can help" Confused, i wasn't sure how the hell your supposed to call her it's not like she has a phone up there. I stood there for a second unsure. "Think of her, like recalling a memory. She'll hear you" he said answering my question. So, i did, i closed my eyes thinking of the moon goddess trying to reach out to her like a beacon. I started to get the feeling someone had entered the room i felt a cool breeze like someone opened a window. "Hello child." The moon goddess called to me. I opened my eyes and there she was just a few feet from where i was standing. Her smile faded when her eyes landed on lily unconscious on the couch. "What...what happened to her?" She asked walking over to her. She laid a hand on her arm before i could warn her. "Wait you can't!" I shouted but she wasn't bothered by the heat coming from her body. "Oh child, what have you done." She said running her hand over the book she was holding. "What? what's wrong" I asked anxiously. "This grimoire...where did she get it?" She asked standing to her feet. "I don't know I've never seen them before." I answered. "This is from the goddess realm, it's on record but this book vanished eons ago, I've never even laid eyes on it myself." She looked up at me, but the look she gave me let me know she was holding something back. "What is it?" i asked. "It's one of the books the old goddess used to bind the fate of the demon king and Harlouson...." Harlou growled deep within my chest his anxiety mixing with my own. "How the hell did it get here!" I shouted. "I don't know... it's been missing but i only assumed the goddess destroyed it after she used it." she said. I paced back and forth not being able to believe this was happening. "Well, what did she do? The whole house rumbled i thought it was going to collapse to the ground." She leaned down again putting her hand on the book. the living room vibrated and hummed. I could feel the energy from her magic it felt so comforting and soft. The room slowly went quiet then completely fell silent. Flipping it open she placed her hand over her mouth and whimpered. "No, this isn't..." She stopped. I grabbed the book unable to wait any longer but i couldn't understand the words written on the page. "She broke the seal..." Harlou called out, his fear running through my body. "But that's a good thing, right?" I asked looking to the goddess. But she didn't show any signs of happiness. "This kind of magic comes with a steep price, the goddess herself paid it with her fate being altered, i can't imagine what will happen if a mortal were to tempt fate in that way. "Then take it back! this is one of your kinds book undo it!" I shouted. "I can't...I'm not nearly half as strong as the previous goddess... and even if i could..." She stopped. "She's still alive at the moment but i don't know what tempting the fates further will do if i reseal the curse. "Why would the goddess have this spell in here to undo the curse?" Harlou asked. "I don't know. I'm sorry, i have to go" she said taking the book from my hands. "Go? now? but she needs you, what are we supposed to do?" I asked tears welling in my eyes. "I need to see her fate i can't do that here!" She yelled. "But there's one thing i can do, it may not help but it could change your fate a bit, without risking her or my owns." She said taking a step toward me. She placed a hand on my chest. "Shalom Arias Buton, Mortal of this realm... Harlouson Counterpart to this mortal, I bestow upon you The Dark Moon Pack of This realm to be Alpha and king of all werewolves of this earth, by blood you are bound to your duties and shall be until your death." Heat radiated through my body and i felt a surge of energy rush through me. A Circle of light expelled out of the room through the house and out into the world, instantly i felt the connection click together, I felt the connection to my grandparents and felt them awaken in my mind. I could feel the earth and the life force of thousands of werewolves at once. I could feel their lives as they were tethered to me. "I am your Alpha king, here to reign until the end of my life. Swear your loyalty or be deemed rogue here and now" Harlou's voice echoed through my mind calling out to the werewolves. Their Howls filled my head, pledging their loyalty and submitting to his call. She removed her hand and disappeared. I could still feel the power radiating through my body as the heat faded. I didn't have time to take in what just happened when my grandparents came into the house. A frightened look shown on grandma's face when she saw lily laying on the couch. Pa walked over to me pulling me into his arms, and i hugged him back as Oliver and Lilys father came into the house as well. Panick filled each of their faces as they realized Lily was lying unconscious. I told them what happened to the best of my abilities. Lily's father punched a hole in the wall frustrated and helpless. Grandma called Kayan over to go and fetch some herbs and elixirs from her home to try and help. But i wasn't hopeful with this new power running through me i could sense the hold the dark magic had over lily and it was going to take more than that to save her. I invited everyone to stay in the Pack house for the night. It wasn't like they wanted to leave her side anyway. Grandma brought over a cooling blanket to wrap her in, and Oliver and her dad carried her up to our room while grandma made more elixirs to give to her. I sat at the kitchen table leaving grandma to try her best to help her. Putting my head in my hand i was hit with too many emotions to handle. I felt proud and powerful in many ways. But in the only way that mattered I felt weak. I wasn't sure where to start or how to help her but with this new power i won't let it be for nothing. "That terrible fever came down, but there's not much else i can do" Grandma said entering the kitchen. She sat across from me at the table staying silent for a moment. "Why didn't you tell her?" She said. I shot a glance at her surprised she'd bring that up now. "I couldn't, not at the time. but I'm surprised she didn't realize herself. or even Alex." I said sighing. "If she truly did break the curse even if it was unintentional, Things can be different now." She said reaching for my hand. I grabbed hers squeezing it tight trying to hold back my own tears. "If she never wakes up..." I started but she stopped me. "She will, you didn't come all this way...She didn't come all this way to have everything taken away from the two of you now." She said reassuring me. "She's carrying your child now, if the curse is broken you will get to experience all the things your father and the ones before him didn't get to experience. Maybe that's the difference. No one before you was given the opportunity, and i believe you had something they didn't have...someone who wasn't willing to give up on you." She said. She gave me a gentle hug before leaving the kitchen. "She has to wake up" Harlou said to me. "I can't do this right now" i said to Harlou wanting him to take over. "Fine, i have some things i need to deal with" he said taking over allowing me to slither into the back of his conscious.
