Josephine Pov
Saturday rolled around and I was at Jobe's game. I noticed that the back of his jersey had the name "Jobe" instead of the usual "Bellingham". I'd ask him about that later. Jobe ended up scoring two goals for his team but that's not all, every time he scored, he made a "J" shape with his hands, this wasn't his usual celebration. I'd ask him about that also later on. The game ended in victory for Jobe's team.
Once we reached his house we went straight to his room, and I threw myself on Jobe's bed and he laid beside me.
"I noticed that you removed Bellingham on your jersey and replaced it with Jobe, any reason behind that?" I asked after a few minutes of silence
"Well, to be honest I was tired of living in Jude's shadow. Every time I went on the pitch, I had to work 10 times harder than everyone else. Jude has set the bar high and I'm not sure that I can ever reach his level. The guy is always going to be number one in everything and I'm always gonna be second best so I changed it in hopes of being seen as an individual and not as Jude's little brother" he said and let out a heavy sigh
"Don't worry, you'll always be my number one" I smiled
"Oh really?"
"Yeah. One more thing, why did you change your celebration?"
"Because my goals were dedicated to you, dummy", he said and turned to look at me
I playfully rolled my eyes and tried to hide my joy but my face betrayed me because I started smiling like an idiot
"You can stop smiling now, you are creeping me out" he said, making me throw a pillow at his head. His face suddenly turned sad
"What's wrong?" I asked
"I'm gonna miss this" he said
"What"
"This, me teasing you and you throwing a pillow on my head or strangling me until I sing baby shark as an apology" he laughed sadly
I put my arms around him and we just lay in that position for what seemed like forever.
"If you keep hugging me, my heart is gonna burst" he said out of the blue
"Then let it, I'm way too comfortable to let you go"
He let out a sigh and looked into my eyes, then he pulled me closer to him
"I love you. Not in a best friend way but in a lover way. I can't stop thinking about you, you're driving me insane. Every time you are near me, my brain turns into mush and my stomach erupts with butterfiles. I can't imagine a life without you and the thought of you leaving me forever is killing me. I know that you are my best friend and this may seem weird but I couldn't hold it in anymore. You don't have to say anything"

Isie didn't say anything and just ran off.
