Chapter 7: Blessings

I was still in awe about how Aqua can turn into a mermaid Mikey told me about. But it was amazing, knowing that she's one in a million.

"Check it out guys. Celebi's swimming with Aqua." Misty smiled.

"And it's glowing too." I smiled. "Aqua too."

"I agree." Donnie nodded.

"This must be the Lake of Life. Hey, that's it! The lake water... it must have brought Celebi back to life." Brock exclaimed.

"Whoa." I looked at the glowing green and blue shapes playing around and then was coming toward us. I laughed a little to see what Mikey meant.

"Watch this part." Mikey got all excited.

I got excited too. As Celebi broke through the water's surface, it cried out a gleeful cheer.

"Aroo!!!" Aqua howled as she broke through the surface as well and what I witnessed made me gasp in surprise. She was a mermaid with a blue tail.

"Wow!" I cheered. "That's awesome!"

Aqua was a totally different being. She really was a mermaid, I wasn't sure how... but it was really amazing to see her like that.

"Aroo!!!" she howled out in delight once again.

"Alright!" I cheered again.

"We did it!" Mikey cheered with me as he was dancing with Pikachu.

I laughed as I saw Aqua swimming towards me. "That's amazing Aqua."

"I told you I'd be alright. See?" Aqua showed me her shoulder and it was healed up instantly.

"Wow. You're too cool Aqua."

"Come on, let's go for a swim!"

"Alright then, let's do it!" I turned my cap the other way and dove into the water.

~Aqua's POV~

"Okay!" I giggled and dove in right after Ash with Celebi right beside me.

As we were swimming through the water, a lot of water Pokemon swam by us. I waved to them and giggled as I was having a blast.

"Mmm!" Ash held his mouth and swam back up, scrambling to the surface.

"Oh boy." I laughed and swam up with him.

As we were swimming up, I felt lighter all of a sudden. But it didn't take long as we broke out of the lake's surface to find out that we were floating. "Whoa!"

"Ah! Huh?" Ash looked down. "Oh, Celebi!" he laughed.

Celebi's eyes were glowing green and it was making us float.

"Wow. Another trick." I giggled.

"Bi!" Celebi cheered and it was flying with us following it.

"Whoo!" I laughed as we were flying with Celebi. As we were flying, the others down below were cheering with glee.

~A little while later...~

We were trudging through the bushes with Celebi as the leader this time now that it recovered from its injuries which I was very thankful for.

"Aqua. That was awesome the way you turned into a mermaid." Misty said with a smile and was walking again thanks to Celebi's healing power. "I wish I could do that."

I giggled and then my stomach started to growl. "Oh boy. Guess all that time traveling and adventuring and battling got me pretty hungry."

"Don't forget flying." Ash said.

"That too."

Mikey gasped. "Is there pizza in this time?!"

"We aren't sure about that Mikey. We're in the past so I don't think they know what pizza is weirdo." Akira said.

"No! The humanity!" he cried out with his arms in the air.

Donnie laughed. "Don't be so dramatic. We can survive in the woods with or without food."

"Bi!" Celebi flew towards me.

"Hey Celebi, do you know where we can find something to eat?" I asked it.

"As if it understands you." Raph said.

It nodded its head and took my hand. "Ooh okay. Celebi is leader now."

"And I've been proven wrong by the Voice of the Forest." he shrugged and everybody laughed.

I giggled as Celebi brought me over to a small orchard of berry trees. "Whoa. Berries." I took a smell at them. "Never seen these ones from trees. Back home they grow on the ground."

"Yeah. From blackberries, strawberries, blueberries, boysenberries..." Donnie started.

"Yada yada yada berries." Akira laughed.

"Yada berries. Uh, hey!"

"That's pretty interesting." Brock said.

"But these berries... are they safe to eat?" Mikey asked. "Please say yes! I'm starving!" he whined.

"I'll check for you." Ash volunteered and took a berry from the tree. He popped it into his mouth and smiled. "Awesome, they're really good!"

"Oh yeah?" I picked a berry and ate one as well. "Oh wow, you're right!" I giggled in delight and licked my lips from the juices of the berry I ate. I climbed up the tree to pick some more and it was fun.

Ash picked some more. "I'm saving some for later." he said as he puts some of the berries in his vest pocket.

"Mmm, so yummy~!" Mikey was already eating a lot of the berries.

I smiled as I saw everyone below just picking out berries and eating them as their dessert. Leo climbed up the tree I was on and sat next to me.

"Hey." I smiled at him.

"Today was a really hectic but great day." he wrapped his arm around me.

"It really was." I nodded.

"Bi bi!" Celebi flew to us and sat on my lap.

"Celebi, thanks for taking us here." I embraced it. "And to think... if we didn't save you back home from our future, then we wouldn't be here at all."

"Bi." it nuzzled me.

"Aww Celebi." I giggled and nuzzled it back. "You're too cute."

"It really likes you and trusts you all the way Aqua." Leo smiled. "I'm glad it was you to help Celebi."

"Me too Leo." I turned back to Celebi. "Here little one, have some more berries." I had my hand full of them.

"Bi bi!" it took one and ate it which made it fly around cheerfully. "Bi bi bi!"

I laughed knowing that I was having a really good time with our newest time traveling adventure in the past. After we had our fill of berries from the orchard, we went back to the lake and started setting up camp for the night.
