It had been 3 days since that incident and Shaista normally attended her classes. How??? Cause Professor Uvais was on leave since that incident. Shaista was relieved unaware of the storm of changes in life marching towards her.
Currently Shaista was sitting in her room reading Peer- e - Kamil her fav novel. She was relaxing herself after completing both her house and university chores, when she hears a knock on her door,,
"Ji Ammi Aaiye" she replied . (Yes mom come in)
Her mother came in and sat at the corner of her bed.
"Ammi why do you knock th3 door , you can directly come in " she asked her mom.
" Tum meri beti ho phir vhi it's antique to knock. Kaise chal rahi hain padhyai aur tum ye phir novel leke bhet gayi, Jaldi soo jaya karo na beta, tabiyat kharab hojayegi " said her mom worried .
" Ji Ammi , bas jaa hi rahi thi " she replied to her mother .
" Phone aaya tha beta subah tumhare hone wale Ghar se , Wo log nikah isi Saturday ke raat ko kar dena chahte hain , Mein khush hoon unke opinion se afterall meri beti ke zindagi mein khushiya dekhna mera akhiri khwaish hain , tumhe koi aitraaz hain kya beta, mein abhi mana kar deti hoon " her mom asked concerned. ( Got call this morning, dear, from your in laws, they want the marriage to happen on Saturday night, I am happy with their opinion, after all, my last wish is to see happiness in my daughter's life, do you have any objection, dear? IF so, I am going to rejeck them right now)
Shaista was I'm deep thoughts , rewinding from day 1 of her University . How she met Professor, how her life took many turns and how she has come to a point of marrying her professor. She was and still not happy with this marriage but seeing her mother concerned thought if she would deny this marriage she will consider herself Selfish. She saw how her mother was happy. Despite being single mother , her mother fulfilled all her wishes without her asking. If this what made her mother happy She made decision to say yes . She wanted to give this marriage a chance.
" Beta kya hua , Why are you looking sad " her mom asked.
" kuch ni Ammi, Meri Haan hain iss shaadi ke liye. Mein kaise rahungi Ammi aapke bina , mujhe koi cheez bhi khareedni ni aati aapke bina, aur meri choti kon banwayengey , meko.. hn.hnn . Meko wo bhi ni aata, Aapke Bina ek, hn.hn . hnn ek din bhi meine Bahar .hn. nahin guzaara , puri zindagi kaise guzaarungi" She started Crying in her mother's lap.
Seeing her daughter cry even her mother got emotional but Shaista's mother was a strong, withstanding Lady. She did not let her tears go down her face instead she made Shaista sit properly and asked,
"Kiski beti ho tum, Meri . Mujhe kabhi rote dekha hain tumne , Sher baccha ho tum mera , har ladki ko ek din uska ghar chodna hi padta hain beta , khud ke khushiyoon ke liye. Zindagi yahin to hain, panchi ko udne keliye ghosla chodna hi padta hain. Wo sab chodo chalo neeche tumhe mein Bata nahin sakti kitni khush hoon mein " replied her mother clearing the tears marks on Shaista's face. ( Whose daughter are you, mine? You have never seen me crying, you are my lion child, every girl has to leave her own house one day dear, for her own happiness. Story of life is that only . A baby bird has to leave it's nest in order to fly. Okay, Now leave all this, you don't know ho happy I am by your decision)
Saying so , she took shaista down to the dining hall and made her sit on the chair ,
" Mein abhi aati hoon bethi rahon" Shaista's mom said.
She brought a box containing baklava and feed them to Shaista.
" kaisa hain , accha hain na " asked her mom
" bhot acche hain ammi , afterall mere fav hain" she said delighted.
And so the night went with both of them talking about what's happening in their lives , Remembering Ahmed ( Shaista's father ) , their memories with him , how they used to go on outings, her mom talking about how Shaista spent massaging her father's hair with her baby hands ,,, many memories of how happy their lives were , and so they retarted tired to their rooms.

Shaista woke up to the sun rays falling one her. She checked the time and got panicked seeing how late she woke up ( 11: 15 Am ).
She went down and got surprised to her mom talking to some men. The men left.
She went to her mom
"Ammi aapne uthaya kyu nahin aaj University miss kar di na ,patani mera alarm kyu nahin sunayi diya mujhe , kya karun ab mein" she stated her worried
" Arrey arey itta ghabrati kyon ho tum , meine hi band kiya tha alarm , aur University ki fikar nahin karo , first year hi to hain , uska intezaam kisi ne kar liya hain , tumhe recorded classes de diye jayengey" said her mother calmly.
" Kisne intezaam kiya hain Ammi " she asked confused
" Tumhare hone wale shohar ne , Subah jab mein nashta bana rahi thi mujhe call aaya tha Uvais se .......
