Since the dawn of time and the birth of mankind, humans have adapted to living in this world. Of course, there are theories and even evidence of deities and gods used to walk on earth but those stories are only related to nowadays' religions and beliefs. Those that are a part of said beliefs are considered to be the work of the devil or to be working with the evil. Those that are unrelated are deemed to be the unknown.
The unknown is a horrifying and unimaginable concept.
Most religious people know it is a sin if one is to cross it and
it is considered second nature to be afraid of the unknown.
But what defines the unknown? Who defines the unknown?
Now in modern times, researchers and scientists have found numerous examples of what can be the proper definition of the word, 'unknown'.
Humans were not only discovered to have lived in the past but also alongside a small community of beings that had been discovered to have been born with unnatural and unique talents. These talents were like abilities. Said abilities that are similar to supernatural powers or to be more precise, arcanum power. These populations of beings can cast incantations or even beyond the power that even the human mind could fail to understand. A power that can help with humanity's growth.
And is capable of destroying it.
Although, these powers are rarely seen as a 'blessing' by the norm. The beings who possess these powers has always seen them as a curse.
Every talent has a price to pay; If a sense is strengthened, the rest is weakened and if a sense is weakened, the rest is strengthened. Take a blind person as an example, their sense of smell and hearing is keener than an average person.
Well balanced, as all life forms should ever be and it shall stay that way until the end of time.
This concept of balance is similar to how these beings live -which these researchers and scientists had collectively agreed by calling them, 'conjurors'- but instead of anything related to the 5 senses, the part that is weakened is the part that could've made these beings human,
That is their state of mind and the heart.
The brain and heart will corrupt if the power is too much. That is to say, the ability users are.. Out of their minds. Their moral compass is described as unbalanced. One could think they're doing evil for their own twisted meaning of 'good' but it is still unknown to humans that these beings were ever good to begin with.
Though it is considered prejudiced to think every single conjuror is bad just because humans are better but it is understandable to be wary of a being that can eliminate growth.
Great power comes with great responsibility. It is up to the caster for how they would use their ability, not others.
That is to say, what if it was a child?
With little to no knowledge on how to use their ability, how can they live through the hardships and burdens of their ability inheritance?
This is where the untalented, humans, and talented, conjurors, thought of a solution for both sides. The untalented, yet are human no matter by heart and mind, will take responsibility to teach the talented youth to live and use their abilities for good. While the educated will help with humanity's growth and the cycle goes on.
But even with this solution, it still had put the conjurors in an image.
The image to be incompetent to think as a human.
Until now, this was the sole reason of why conjurors are frowned upon in society, just because of something that they can't have in the first place. Their inexistent humanity.
