Mihrimah :
She saw herself standing at the corner of Tverskaya street. She could hear the cars honking and the voice of kids crying in her ears. It was December and Moscow was busy welcoming Christmas.
Mihrimah loved Christmas decorations as a child her baba always took her to the Red Square Christmas fest to show her the decorations. She could see her baba buying a chocolate cone from a distance. An eagle got her attention she looked at the sky observing it for a few seconds. When she looked back her baba wasn't there. She looked around in hopes of finding him but he was nowhere to be seen. Suddenly a rush of panic went all over her. She saw herself crying and saying "baba ap Kahan hain" (Dad where are you ?).
When she opened her eyes she found herself struggling to breathe. She tried to look at the watch on the table beside her bed. It was 3 am in the morning and she was in her bed. It was a nightmare. The fifth nightmare of this month. Everytime she saw a nightmare she felt like she lost him again.
She was the closest to her father he was her best friend and the only parent she had. Her mother was a cancer patient she passed away when Mihrimah was just four. She didn't remember her mother she had only seen her in photos. Her father never married again and brought her up alone. She heard many stories of her mother Nazia from her father. He said she resembled her mother with her light brown eyes and straight hair.
Muhammad Mehmood Zaidi went missing on 4th March 2023. Mihrimah's whole life changed after this incident. Since then she started having these nightmares. Sometimes she would see herself as a child in it and sometimes as an adult. A month has passed since her father went missing but there was still no clue of him. She had filed a missing person's report two days after he went missing. The authorities assured her that they would find him but they were unsuccessful in it.
Everytime the doorbell rang she found herself running to the door in the hopes of seeing him standing there. She would try calling his number everyday even though she knew it was switched off and wasn't found yet. When she entered the house after coming back from work she found herself saying "Mai ghr agayai Hun baba"
( I am back home dad ) just to realize that the house was empty. It was killing her from the inside some days she wanted to go back in time just to live a few moments with him again.
