Tiny backpacks and shoes so new,
Little ones head to school, the day to pursue.
Excitement bubbling, a bit of a scare,
First day of school, a grand affair.
Wishing for friends, with smiles so wide,
In the classroom, side by side.
Shy giggles, and a wave so sweet,
New friendships blooming, a joyous feat.
Crayons and paper, stories to share,
Learning and laughing, hearts laid bare.
In the world of school, where dreams take flight,
Little ones wish for friendships bright.
So, to the classroom, they eagerly go,
In the world of learning, friendships grow.
