According to my research (a 10 second google search about the meaning of the song 12 days of Christmas), the song is 12 days because that is apparently the amount of time it took for the 3 wise to go from where they were to meet Jesus. So I made this.
Peace and still going hand in hand
From a still lake to a breeze on land
Freshly fallen snow blanketing all
Leaves reaching the ground as they fall
An empty lot in the dead of the night
All of that creating a most peaceful sight.
Actions to protect the peace is expected
But when it goes too far immediately rejected
Because no one wants to be left dejected
Yet no one view can be forever erected.
A sudden turn around can disrupt everything
With people willing to sacrifice anything
And those who are willing to do something
Get blindsided by those who want to do nothing.
It could be something as small as friends vibing
Or maybe for some a family unit gathering
Being in a place where nothing near you is bothering
or just in a place where you are not worrying or fearing.
But peace beyond situations are rarely available
So we must enjoy what we savour it when able
Because when peace is around things are stable
And with that true peace tends to seem like a fable.
