(Somewhere in the Lands of Monster Hunter)

In a forest where Monsters Roam, predators around every corner, there is one lone hunter searching for sightings of an Elder Dragon that goes by the name of Ruiner Nergigante. He finds old splintered thorns and old footprints that came from the beast. He reaches a place where it seems a First Wyverian is found.

Hunter: First Wyverian, what seems to be the issue?

First Wyverian: Sorry, son. The Ruiner isn't here. Pack ya sh*t.

And so he did. He then later returned to a base surrounded by other hunters, and researchers who came to this land. The Hunter heads to the bar after a long day of looking for tracks.

Fiver Bro: Ooo, is someone down on their luck? I've got a job, if you're interested.

It cuts to the Hunter down in the Rotten Vale surrounded by corpses of Girros and Raphinos. He stumbles upon more of those monsters knowing the Fiver who hired him is just trying to use him to get him food.

Hunter: I know your tricks! No more, I'm done doing this job. If you want to get food, get it yourself!

Fiver Bro: What do you mean "done"? You're in this gig for life, you knew what you got yourself into!

Hunter: I didn't know sh*t.

The Fiver takes a bone and tries to attack the hunter, but the hunter took out his Long sword, sliced his bone in half, and opened a big mark on the side of his head. The guards took the Fiver Bro away and sent him back to where they all came from when traveling to the new world. Same as The Hunter's Handler, Excitable A-Lister, and the Tracker because they were useless and got nothing done. Few days later, the Hunter and his Serious Handler announced their relationship and enjoyed their life as a duo hunting monsters, and researching them as well. 8 Years Later, the Hunter was roaming around the first base until he got a letter given to him by the Tech Chief. He opened it and all it said was "Toooony" as it was being called out by a woman's voice. He drops the letter in shock as the others around him notice. Back in his room, his Handler and him were having a conversation.

Hunter: What do you mean "It's time I got a real job"? I've kept this relationship afloat so far!

It cuts to the Commander assigning the two to a camp that's in the middle of the guiding lands. Instead of him doing that, 6 years passed and he now works as a helper in the Canteen. As he works the voice inside his head keeps calling out to him. It cuts to the Workshop where the Hunter decides to upgrade his sword.

Hunter: Just this name, again and again everywhere I go. "Tony", I don't even know what that means... Or, maybe I-

Creepy Blacksmith: Have you considered you might just be mental?

The Hunter somehow recognized his voice to sound like someone else. Someone who's annoying, old, and not to mention creepy.

Hunter: Hey, your voice sounds familiar, have I been here bef-

Creepy Blacksmith: NOPE!

The next day, the Hunter tells his Handler that he's off on a journey to finally put an end to Ruiner Nergigante once and for all.

Hunter: I'm sorry, but I have to do this. One day I'll return, but in the meantime for the commission, don't become an alcoholic.

The drink in her hand glitches out and becomes a loaf of bread.

Hunter: Or a... Bread-oholic-? What?

The Hunter leaves for the Hoarfrost Region and stumbles upon a Barioth that killed his Windrake. He takes out his Sword and slays the beast, making a coat out of it. He traveled for 27 years looking for the Ruiner Elder Dragon and to also follow the name on the winds, and the woman who calls it to him... Tony.
