Quite A Fear Filled Life. (Chainsaw Man X Male Reader)

Chapter 5: Day 1

Y/n is awakened by a loud knock, getting louder and heavier each and every time. That is until he gets up out of bed, throws some clothes on, and opens the door.

"YES?!" y/n snaps at the person who was furiously knocking on his door. The person before him was a woman, blonde hair with red horns sticking out from the top of it. She was wearing the oublic safety uniform under a blue jacket. And then before y/n can process the fact that the person before him is a fiend, he receives a punch straight to the liver.

Y/n doubles over, and backs away, shutting the door behind him. He takes a few deep breaths, and eventually the pain goes away. As he tries to stand up, he decides to fight back. But since its another public safety member, he cant. Therefore, he goes to the closet, puts the uniform on, and opens the door.

"Alright, fine, jeez. What?" Y/n says in a forced calm voice.

"Much better. Now, bow before me!" The woman says in a commanding tone, pointing at y/n.

"Hell no."
"Hell YES!"
"no."
"Yes!"
"No."
"Yes."
"No."

...
...
...

"You mean 'yes'."

Y/n sighs, facepalming.

"I dont have time for a headache right now. Name?" Y/n leans against the doorframe and points a finger at the woman.

"I am the one, the only, the GREATEST FIEND TO EVER LIVE.... POWER! NOW KNEEL." Power commands y/n for the second time. Y/n ignores her command and instead leaves the appartment. "HEY! COME BACK H-"

"You were here to get me, correct? Now lead the way." Y/n deadpans, interrupting power mid-sentence.

Though power was offended, she gladly takes the opportunity to have SOME command over y/n. She walks in front of him, and leads the way all the way down the stairs, even though theres an elevator. Then to a building blocked off with large yellow tape saying "DANGER!" And "WARNING!". Which y/n and power both ignore, stepping over the tape and to the front of the building, where they are met by aki and denji... and some other folks. One is a woman with black hair and an eyepatch, the other is just some dude, and the last one is a very nervous looking girl with brown hair.

Y/n walks over to denji and slaps him on the back with the same exact strength that denji hit him with, leaving denji stunned, confused, and extremely annoyed.

"HEY! what the hell?!" Denji retaliates by punching y/n, or at least ATTEMPTING TO. Denji completely misses due to y/n dodgin his punch.

"Womp womp." Y/n says while sticking his tounge out, taking a few steps back, and accidentally bumping into the woman with the eyepatch.

"watch where you're standing." Y/n turns around to tell her before turning back away from her and continuing his tomfoolery with denji. This exchange of punches and slaps on the back goes on for a good 3 minutes until aki speaks up.

"Stop." Y/n and denji stop momentarily, both looking at aki for a good moment before realising that he can do absolutely nothing to stop them whatsoever. So they take advantage of that fact, and continue to be little rapscallions.

That is, until aki takes out a few pieces of gum. Which stops denji, catches the attention of power, and confuses the ever living shit out of y/n.

Denji and power calmly walk over, take the gum, and stop doing whatever they were doing before to chew it. Y/n shakes his head at their 'foolish' behavior of being bribed. as he turns around, he is met face-to-face with that person he bumped into.

"What do you want?" Y/n says with a slight frown, taking a step away to make some personal space "and who are you anyways?" Y/n points a finger at the person.

She just kinda stands there, arms crossed over her chest while staring at y/n with a blank expression.

"Apologise, and i'll tell ya. Fair deal?" She offers with a small smile, arms still crossed over her chest.

"Seriously? You expect me to apologise for something thats YOUR fault???" Y/n looks at the woman as if she's insane. Which in reality, she wasnt. If anything, he is the insane one, but he wouldnt know it if you gave him the clearest examples.

"Do you want to know my name?"

"... "

"So?"

"Fine. Im sorry for bumping into you or whatever the hell you humans say. Now whats your damn name?"

The woman doesent seem too impressed, but decides to awnser his question anyways.

"The name's himeno. Thats kobeni," himeno points at the young lady with brown hair "and thats arai." Himeno points at the man standing next to kobeni, who seems to be calming her down and assuring her that everything will be fine.

"Weird names, not gonna lie."

"And yours isnt?!" Says denji, finally being able to get back at y/n, slapping him on the back even harder. "HELL YEAH!"

Y/n just decides to ignore it, heading past himeno and towards the entrance.

"Come on, lads. We got shit to do!" Y/n rushes inside the large appartment building/hotel area, not caring to wait for anybody.

As y/n enters the hotel, he is met with a surprisingly clean area. No blood, no guts, nothing.
"... Well fuck, i expected much more-"

"COMIN THROUGH!" power yells out as she sprints past y/n, which he cannot let slide. So he chases after power, quickly catching up to her and grabbing her by the jacket, throwing her into a nearby wall just to slow her down and get in front of her. Eventually, after running and running, y/n comes across a head with... legs? Feet? Hand-feet? Whatever it had, it used to jump at y/n. How did he respond to that? Well, obviously he grabbed it and thundercunted it into the ground.

As y/n does that, everybody else seems to finally catch up to him, and notice that he has, in fact, killed a devil with his bare hands. Which isnt that impressive considering the devil is just a head but still noteworthy.

"So, lets go then!" Y/n calls out to the others, rushing up the stairs to floor 8, then floor 8, then floor 8, then floor 8, then floor... 8? Then... floor... 8. Then floor 8. Then floor 8. Then floor 8. Then floor 8. Then. Floor. 8. Then everybody catches up to him. And then they go to floor 8. Then to floor 8. But they realize it faster because they see y/n again. And again. And again.

"Wait, what the hell is going on? Like, am i trippin? You guys saw that t-"

"WE'RE TRAPPED! WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!!!..." kobeni cries out (literally), putting her head into her hands and sobbing.

"Calm down, jeez. Its not like anything HORRIBLE is gonna happen anyways. Lets just... i dunno.. sleep it off? Theres beds, right? Lets just, y'know, take a nap. I need to catch up on some sleep anyways, soo.... find a way, kay?" Y/n says in a nonchalant tone before walking into a room, falling on the bed, and falling asleep nearly instantly.
