I hid behind a pillar as I peered around the corner to see a tall figure in a dark hoodie walk towards the principal's office with another shorter figure following behind him. Why am I following these suspicious people you ask? Well, I just wanted to get some fresh air, take a walk. But during the walk, I saw these two people and decided to follow them. Anyways back to now, the tall one opened the door to the principal's office, looking both ways, allowing me to catch a glimpse of his face. Those blue eyes and blonde hair. Charles. I stood behind the pillar, frozen in shock. What was Charles doing up at this hour? And why did he have that deadly look in his eyes. I shook my head, trying to clear my head. Pull yourself together Y/n, we need to find out what he's up to.
Seems like the shorter figure is guarding the door, I thought to myself after having a closer look. I devised a plan and put it into motion. I dug around in my pocket for a coin, before throwing it in his direction. He seemed to notice the coin. He picked it up before walking in my direction. I immediately ran in the opposite direction, taking a U turn on the other path and snuck to the other side. As I reached the door to the principal's office, I looked through the crack in the door, only to realise that Charles wasn't there. Did his accomplice alert him? As I turned around to walk away, I came face to face with light blue eyes. "C-Charles. What are you doing here?" I asked, trying my best to act clueless. "I'm not dumb, Y/n. I know you saw me." "Saw you? What do you mean?" I asked as I looked away, trying to avoid his deadly stare. Charles grabbed my chin and faced me to look at him. "Do you take me for a fool? I know you saw me hacking into the computer." I gulped. Hacking into the school system? This is so unlike Charles. "Charles? What happened to you?" I asked as I reached out to stroke his cheek. He slapped my hand away. "Nothing happened Y/n." "Why did you hack into the system?" I asked. Charles sighed before saying, "I can't tell you, Y/n." "Why not? Aren't we friends? Don't you trust me?" I asked him, tears starting to pool in my eyes. Charles bit his lip before saying, "No, I don't trust you." These words made my heart shatter. The tears that pooled in my eyes spilled down my cheeks. "Jerk. You are the biggest jerk ever!" I yelled before escaping from his grip and running away.
Charles POV
I watched her back as she ran away. When she was far enough, I mumbled under my breath, "I'm sorry, darlin'. I can't risk you getting hurt." Just then, Raven appeared by my side. "Do you want me to do something about it?" I just shook my head. "No. It's gone. The love of my life, I just broke her heart. She's forever gone." I said as a tear rolled down my cheek.
Y/n POV
I buried my face in my pillow to muffle out my sobs. How could he betray me like that? He was my best friend. I trusted him. However, this was just a game to him. He didn't even trust me. As I put down my pillow, I said, "I can't believe I even had a crush on you, Charles."
That night, I cried myself to sleep. I don't remember how long I cried, nor how long I slept. The only thing I saw when I woke up was 7 faces staring down at me. 6 we're clueless and genuine. 1 was just a pure act, a phoney. "Morning, guys." I said as I sat up. "Y/n, are you okay?" Prince Albert asked me, concerned. "I'm fine, what are you talking about?" I asked, as I faked a smile. "You sure don't look fine. Your eyes are so red."said Prince Leon. " Did you cry last night?"asked Alex. I shook my head and said, "Must've had a bad dream." I said, making an excuse. "Cmon, I'll get ready and we can go to class." I said, getting out of bed. As I walked to the bathroom, I caught a glimpse of Prince Charles staring at me. However, the look of concern on his face didn't seem fake, it almost looked genuine. I rolled my eyes at him before heading inside the bathroom.
Third person's POV
"Ay, did you see that? Y/n rolled her eyes at Charles!"said Prince Felix, his eyes widening with shock. Y/n had never rolled her eyes at Charles before, she would always smile at him. " I saw it too." Prince Leon said. "Don't you think it's all strange? Y/M's red eyes, her attitude towards Charles? Something must've happened between them!" Alex whispered to the others who were now gathered around him in a circle. "Erm, I still here you know?"said Prince Charles, sweat-dropping. "Charles."said Ciel, turning to look at him. " Yes?"asked Charles. "Did you..."said Ciel, bringing his face closer to Charles face. " Eat my cup cake last night." At this, all the Princes except for Ciel Sweat-dropped. "You fool!"said Prince Albert whacking his head. "I couldn't help myself."said Ciel, sulking. As Albert continued to whack Ciel, Leon asked Prince Charles the actual question. " Did something happen between you and Y/n?" Charles blinked a few times before saying with a smile, "No. Nothing happened." Leon frowned. He knew that his best friend was lying. Before he could question further, Y/n came out from the bathroom. She looked at the situation for a bit before saying, "I'm ready. Let's go." She said. The rest followed behind her.
