The next morning, drivers had been sent to the hotel to pick all of us up, but I easily saw through all of their disguises. They were James, Raven and Quentin, dressed in grey uniforms paired with ridiculous matching grey caps, and I held back laughter, as Su Jung and I climbed aboard Raven's car. "Greetings, your highness, miss," he greeted, his voice monotone as I giggled behind my hands cheekily, deciding that he deserved some sort of payback, after what he did to annoy me the previous day. Su Jung had chosen to sit at the back, me in front, in the perfect position to annoy Raven.
"Su Jung, I'm gonna change the radio!" I said, as Su Jung nodded in acknowledgement, her eyes still glued to her phone as her fingers flew across the keypad, I assumed she was texting Alexis, the island owner's son. I smirked, as I changed the radio station to one that I knew Raven would hate, one that played dance pop. I had done my research thoroughly, to the point I knew which side the princes' bodyguards parted their hair, so knowing that Raven hated dance pop was no surprise to me. Lucky for me, I was childhood best friends and the aide to a Korean princess, dance pop was her jam.
"Ooh, I like this song. Turn it up Y/N!" Su Jung squealed, as I complied gladly, my smirk growing wider as I took in Raven's annoyed growl, his teeth gritted tightly as he tried to desperately to focus on the road. When I was sure Su Jung had her eyes glued to the screen, I put phase two of my plan into action. My hand slid over to Raven's knee, right under the wheel, and I giggled evilly to myself as I saw him grip the steering wheel harder, the veins on his hand flexing underneath his black gloved hands. "What're you doing Y/N?" he hissed, and I hummed innocently, "My hands felt cold, your knees are warm, that's all." The whole ride to Momos Academy, my hand remained on Raven's knee, and when we finally reached, Raven practically dashed out of the car, as he rushed to open the door for Su Jung. "Please have a pleasant visit here," he greeted as he did a 90 degree bow, Su Jung nodding as I explained to her about how I had to meet Principal Evan first regarding some aide duties. Once Su Jung was out of sight and hearing range, Raven turned to me with a menacing glare, as he growled, "What were you trying to pull there, Y/N?" I hummed in content to myself, as I turned my back to leave, only for Raven to grab my wrist as he squeezed on the skin, hard. "Answer me, Y/N." he demanded, and immediately, memories of my past came flooding back to me, and the ground-breaking fear that hollowed out in my chest said that I had to leave, then and quick. I slipped out of his grasp without and issue and sprinted off, not looking back, as tears of terror welled up in my eyes.

For a moment, I thought that I might've been a little hard on Y/N, but I didn't hesitate much, for the fact that she was known to be strong, hard-headed and feisty, so when I grabbed her, I expected her to fight back or something, judging from our interaction the previous day, but Y/N just slipped out of my grasp and ran off, seeming to be in a hurry. "Principal Evan's meeting with her isn't until 15 minutes later, so why is she in such a hurry?" I wondered, scratching the back of my head, but I knew that it was none of my concern, as I reentered the car to park it.

I ducked into a nearby toilet, locking myself in a cubicle as I started hyper-ventilating, my breathing getting shallow, as I hugged my knees to my chest, silver already streaking down my cheeks, as I tried to escape my vortex of darkness that existed in my head, lumped together with all the trauma that had happened in Japan. I was sure that I was going to pass out if I stayed in such a panicked condition any longer, if it wasn't for the creak of the toilet's entrance, and I immediately stood up inside my cubicle, unlocking the door hurriedly as blue eyes met mine, and I realized that it was Jelena, Leon's bodyguard, but I couldn't care less in the moment, as I rushed over to the sinks to wash my face, before scurrying off to the Principal's office.
"Sir?" I called, peeking into the office, as two men turned their gazes to me, the two whom I recognized as Mr Evan and Mr Godfreg. "Sirs," I greeted, bowing to them respectfully as Godfreg ushered for me to stand upright, and I looked at them with a polite expression. "Hello, Y/N. It's a pleasure to finally meet the fabled bodyguard in person," Evan replied, reaching out to shake my hand which I gladly took, my mood lightening a little, when Godfreg got straight to the point. I was lucky, no need for any casual chit-chat, just work. I didn't need anymore emotional stuff while I was here for the two-month long exchange program, not after what happened that fateful night in Tokyo.
"Y/N, as you know from your colleagues, some which I'm sure have worked with the princesses and the princes' bodyguards, since you'll be here for quite some time, you'll be working together with the princes' bodyguards, including night shifts, since some suspicious people have been spotted throughout the island. As for the safety of Princess Han, don't worry, because our men have been doubled, so more will be looking after the princesses too." explained Godfreg, as I nodded curtly, before putting forth, "How will this night shift thing work?" "Basically, we've assigned you in pairs, and decided that you'd patrol the pier with Raven." declared Principal Evan, as I choked on my saliva. "Excuse me sir?" I questioned, only for Godfreg to chuckle, "Yes, I know Y/N. According to Quentin, you and Raven...aren't getting along the best. But this is only temporary, as your partner will be Quentin after a few weeks." I sighed, nodding in relief as I exited the office, however, dark clouds still loomed above my head. Besides having to deal with schoolwork, council work, exchange work and bodyguard work, I still have to deal with my enemy, that's just great.

"Is everyone here yet?" asked Quentin as Jelena knocked our code, and we let her in, as she smiled sheepishly at us, "Sorry, I went to the bathroom. By the way, do any of you know if this new bodyguard we'll be working with, Y/N, has some sort of trauma or something?" We all furrowed our brows at J's question. "Why do you ask J?" Engel assessed, as J sighed, "I ran into her in the toilet earlier, she looked pretty triggered by something." Immediately, my mind flashed back to the moment earlier this morning, her reaction, her need to hurry off, it was probably because I triggered off some sort of trauma, wasn't it? I sighed, knowing I needed to talk to Y/N and apologize to her, ideally during our night shift tonight, since we were assigned as temporary partners while Quentin has to work out some stuff with the royals' parents as Evan's ambassador. I was snapped out of my thoughts when a knock of our code resounded at the door, and Merlin hummed, "I guess you'll get to know if your suspicion was correct J."
"Come in," answered Quentin, and the door opened to reveal a girl in her Popsi uniform, none other than the little menace herself, Y/N. "Hi, I take it that I'm in the right place?" she questioned, her eyebrow raised as Engel nodded, J smiling as she greeted Y/N warmly. "Hi Y/N, my name's Jelena, but you can call me J! I'm Prince Leon's bodyguard, it's a pleasure to meet you!" Y/N nodded curtly as she turned to the rest of us, gesturing for us to introduce ourselves. We did, one by one, and after introductions were finished, Y/N sighed, crossing her arms. "Good, you are the people I researched about then." "You mean you already knew about us before this?" asked Merlin, as Y/N nodded. "This girl is...rather scary." I heard Livio whisper to James, who nodded his head in agreement, as Y/N turned to them with a sharp look. "I heard that." she said, and we all snorted, as Livio and James broke out in cold sweat. "Erm..."
"But it's rare that people know about Iseya, he covers up his tracks perfectly!" frowned Engel, only for Y/N to darkly chuckle with a smirk on her face, "Physically yes, but you left a trail of digital crumbs so obvious even a blind man can follow them." Iseya silenced himself; it was rare people called Iseya out. "Anyways, we've also run into one another while I was in Japan..." she murmured under her breath, loud enough only for me to hear, as I took in her downcast eyes and sad smile, something definitely happened while she was in Japan, and I made it my mission to find out what.
