As I leave the emergency room, the weight of the situation heavy on my shoulders, I walk through the hospital corridors with tears still in my eyes. The guilt and sorrow over Daniel's injury, an injury I inadvertently caused, weigh heavily on my conscience.

Every nurse and doctor who passes me offers concerned inquiries, asking if I'm okay or hurt. I offer assurances that I'm physically fine, emphasizing that I just need some fresh air.

I find a quiet corner outside the hospital and pull out my phone, my fingers trembling as I dial Abby and Emilia's numbers. The news about Daniel weighs on me, and I struggle to find the right words to convey the unfortunate turn of events.

Abby on the other line starts to talk, "Hey, Miah, what's up?"

I couldn't find the words so I pause for a minute, "Abby, it's... it's Daniel. We were doing a friendly race, and he got injured. It's bad, Abby. I can't believe this happened."

Abby with a concerned voice, "What? Is he okay?"

My voice breaks as I try to find the words "He has a fractured bone in his left arm. The nurse said he won't be able to race for a while. I feel responsible for what happened."

Emilia finally starts to join in on the conversation, "Miah, take a deep breath. It's not your fault. Accidents happen on the track. We'll be there for Daniel, and he'll recover. Don't blame yourself."

Abby agreeing with Emilia, "We are on our way beautiful. Please breath, it will be okay. You know that Dan is going to recover just fine."

the Girls continue to talk "I'll call Issa and get her down as well. And we will all go for dinner or whatever it is to make you not worry about the accident."

Abby with a soft voice says, "Nora is with me right now and we are just packing. We will be there as soon as we can. Just please don't do anything until we get there."

Emilia with love in her voice trying to help calm the situation, "We love you and we will see you soon, okay."

I finish saying on the phone, "I love you girls so much."

As we exchange words of comfort and reassurance, they promise to be there soon. I tell them to have a good flight and that I'll see them later, grateful for the support of my friends during this challenging time.

As I sit down on the curb, the weight of the situation pressing down on me, I lower my head into my hands, seeking stillness in the moment of loneliness. The sounds of the hospital surroundings fade into the background as I take deep breaths, attempting to calm the storm of emotions raging within me.

The gravity of Daniel's injury and the impact of the friendly race gone wrong weigh heavily on my shoulders, and the guilt over the incident lingers, despite the reassurances from friends.

Alone with my thoughts, I reflect on the unexpected turn of events, grappling with the complex mix of emotions that accompany such moments in the world of racing. The curb becomes a temporary sanctuary where I confront the challenges and uncertainties that racing, with its thrills and risks, can bring.

As I sit there on the curb for a long time, grappling with my thoughts and the weight of the unexpected turn of events, uncertainty looms over me. The reassurances from friends provide some comfort, but the guilt lingers, and the future of the racing team hangs in the balance.

Alone with my thoughts, I find myself wondering about Christian's perspective and what actions he might take in response to the incident, and the consequences of the friendly race gone wrong extend beyond the immediate impact on Daniel.
