Le'ya happily made her way to the edge of High Camp where all the ikran were settled. The entire way, she couldn't take her eyes off of her mother's bow.

It's perfect.

That was all she could think about. Now owning her mother's bow, she felt everything, as if her mother's spirit would be by her. She smiled to herself, deeply in her own world. She hadn't noticed she had arrived at her destination.

Neteyam spotted the girl earlier from a distance before she even got there. He noticed how her smile never left her face as her eyes never left the bow in her hands. Some might of thought she was crazy, however, Neteyam knew why she was smiling.

Her mother's bow. Neteyam knew well of it. He remembered it all too well. That night.

Neteyem looked away from the girl and her bow, not wanting to remind himself of that night. He continued to adjust the saddle on his ikran, Tsawke. Sensing the girl's presence as she got closer, Tsawke started squawling in excitement.

Le'ya was cut away from her daze by the ikran's squawling. She looked up and smiled sweetly at him. "I missed you too, Tsawke."

Neteyam scowled at his ikran. Jealous of his interaction with Le'ya. "You're never that excited to see me."

Le'ya chuckled at Neteyam's childish behavior. She walked right in front of them and started patting the head of Tsawke. He seemed to calm down at her touch.

"Have you been good to old grumpy Ne'te?" Le'ya began to tease and tilted her head at Neteyam who was walking towards the back of Tsawke. The ikran responded by shaking his head in a nodding motion.

Neteyam noticed this and immediately took offense. "As if."

The scene in front of Le'ya caused her to chuckle and lightly shake her head. Neteyam fighting with his ikran was always so silly to her.

"And I see you found a bow." Neteyam hopped on his ikran, looking down at the girl who was still patting Tsawke. He eyed the bow once again and seeing it in the hands of Le'ya, he felt a sense of deja vu. It was all too familiar to him.

"Yeah. Po gave it to me. Do you like it?" Le'ya walked to the side of Twsake and smiled shyly at Neteyam. She held up her bow, showcasing it a little to him.

Neteyam huffed out a small smile and said, "It fits you."

Le'ya instantly started smiling with her teeth. Feeling her heartbeat fasten once again.

"Now come on. My dad wants me back before lunch." Netyeam started holding onto the straps of the saddle, getting ready to take off. He then reaches out his hand to her. Le'ya notices this and quickly grabs onto his hand.

He pulled her on and in front of him easily. Like they had always done before, in a quick movement, she fit right in the space Neteyam scooted back enough for her.

Le'ya loved it when Neteyam let her ride with him. She liked being close to Neteyam even if it didn't mean anything. Not only that. Neteyam was the more skilled ikran rider. It was always a bliss to take a ride with him.

Le'ya took hold of Twsake as well. To be able to see better, Neteyam scoots up, closing in the space between the two. Le'ya felt his chin touch the tip of her head. She began to tense up at the slight touches.

No matter how many times she had ridden with him, it always felt like the first time.

"Hold on." Was the only thing Neteyam began to say, then suddenly took off. Le'ya was now used to the rush when taking off. Neteyam had no time to waste as always and would take off without looking back.
