Eve gazed out the window, lost in thought, as her father's knock echoed through the room. "Come in," she said softly, her voice barely above a whisper. Tony entered, his eyes filled with concern. "I just wanted to check on you. Sorry for raising my voice earlier."Eve turned back to the window, her gaze distant. "Don't apologize, Dad. It's not your fault. I should have known better." Her words trailed off as her phone buzzed, alerting her to a new notification. She glanced down and her heart sank. The picture was online now, and people were commenting, their words piercing her like knives. Jackson had captioned it "New couple in town," his malice evident.Tony wrapped his arms around Eve, pulling her close. "What else has she done to you, sweetheart?" he asked, his voice filled with empathy.

"She pushed me into the pool at the party, she mixed up the chemicals in the wrong vial, and she posted it everywhere to humiliate me," Eve said, her voice trembling as she looked away and hugged her father back, fighting back tears.Tony's expression turned stern, his protective instincts kicking in. "That's unacceptable behavior, sweetheart. I'm so sorry you had to go through that. We'll get through this together, okay?" He held her closer, his embrace a safe haven from the hurt and betrayal Eve felt.

"I can try to talk to Bruce, but he'll believe her over me anytime," Tony said, trying to cheer Eve up. "At least you'll be leaving soon."

Eve shook her head. "It's okay, Dad. I don't need that. I'm just glad I'm leaving already."

Tony's expression softened. "Get some rest, you have school tomorrow. Do you want some dinner?"

Eve shook her head again. "I'm okay, my appetite has been ruined, but thank you..."

Tony leaned in and kissed the top of her head. "Alright, get some rest." With that, he left the room.

As Tony left, Eve decided to go on a little stakeout to clear her head and process what had happened. She grabbed her suit and put it on, then teleported somewhere else to clear her mind and gather her thoughts.Eve received a notification about a heist in progress at the museum. She teleported to the location and checked the cameras. She asked Friday, her AI assistant, to monitor the radiation levels to track the number of people inside. When Friday alerted her to someone approaching the glass case, Eve teleported inside. She saw the mysterious girl and said, "Hey! Where do you think you're going with that diamond?"

The girl replied, "Ciao," and threw a smoke grenade, obscuring Eve's vision. The girl jumped out the window, but Eve remembered her appearance and teleported after her. "Now where do you think you're going?" Eve said softly.

The girl asked, "Who are you? I know this is the bats turf,I don't remember them having a witch." and Eve replied, "None of your business." With a smile, Eve used her magic to teleport the gem back to its original location.

"Fuck," the girl muttered, seeing that the gem was gone. "Well, this was a nice chat, but ci vediamo più tardi. Atti hanno un posto dove stare" (See you later. I have a place to be). With that, she dipped into the shadows and vanished.

Eve sighed in relief that the girl didn't take the diamond. As she teleported back to another roof, she couldn't shake off her feelings for Tim, which were slowly fading as she thought he had pranked her.
Just then, her phone started ringing. It was an unknown number, and she picked it up. "Hello?"

"Hey, it's me, Tim. I know you probably don't want to hear from me, but I just needed to say that I didn't set you up. I know I mentioned it earlier, and I was confused until Bruce called me home and now I'm grounded, so..." he explained quickly.

"Well, I don't know if I can trust you... you seem like a nice guy, but my father says I can't talk to you nor any other of your siblings. I would hate to go against my father's wishes, so please leave me alone. You won't have to deal with seeing me every day at school since I'm leaving..." she said softly.
