Chapter 7: Goodbye

Kendall's POV

I woke up more tired than when I went to bed. I got up and took a shower. I threw on jeans and a baby blue V-neck shirt with a dark grey tanktop under. I graved my jacket and shoes and got my car keys. I needed to go somewhere and think. I drove out the normal town I've grown to know. I drove out the town and to another about forty-five minutes away. I found a Starbucks and got a Red-eye latte. I sat a table and thought, about everything. Anthony I knew it, was one of the best things that has ever happened to me. But I don't know if Im ready to be with him. Then it hit me. I knew what I needed to do. That decision was the best. It was so clear, how did I not see it before? I got up and got in my car. I had to talk to Anthony.

Anthony's POV

I just finished my lunch when there was a knock on the door. I opened it and it was Kendall. I gave her a hug and she awkwardly hugged my back.

"Is there something wrong?" I asked her.

"No.. I just have to talk to you."

"Okay." I said then sat on the couch. She sat down across from me.

"Im.. Im going to go back to Virginia. Im not moving back there yet. I just want to remember what I left and see if I should go back." She took a pause.

"I just don't think Im ready for us yet. Im sorry Anthony, please don't be mad or upset. Its not you, its me. Im just not ready. Goodbye Anthony."

With that said she left. I sat there for a minute, frozen in shock. Then I put my face in my hands and cried.

That night I saw Kendall's car gone from her driveway. The lights in her house where off. I knew she had already left. I had a wild thought to follow her but reality told me not too. I knew she probably returned to Williamsburg, where she grew up. But I didn't know where in Williamsburg. I just sat on my couch and stared at the wall. After a while I got out my laptop and looked for plane tickets to VA and where they would get off. One landed on the coast, near VA beach. Without thinking I pressed buy, and filled out all the information. I was due for a flight to VA tomorrow at seven in the morning.

I packed last night. At six in the morning I was debating on wether of not to go. I paced back and forth. Kendall broke up with me, I should give her space. But at the same time part of me likes her.. A lot. Maybe even love. I knew Kendall felt the same way and was just not thinking straight. I grabbed a firm handle on my suitcase and left a note for Ian. I lied and said that Kendall and I had to go see her grandma in the hospital in VA. I walked out the door and into my car. There was no changing my mind now.

Kendall's POV

I stepped off the plane. Then I realized I didn't have money for a hotel. My parents moved to Hawaii and all my friends are at college. Gosh Im so stupid! There was only one place left I could to too. Ethan's house.

I knocked on the door, my suitcase in one hand. I looked the the ground, embarrassed that I had to turn to Ethan. He opened the door

"Kendall? Why are you here?"
