The past few days at school were weird for both Lucas and Ant. They found themselves staring at the same person every day, it was repetitive.

Simone took no notice of Lucas, too busy wrapped around Jean-Pierre's finger. And Joseph purposely ignored Ant the whole week.

It was Thursday, after school, and Ant had just returned from school. She stood before her mirror, her fingers caressing the scar across her cheek.

She always touched it, she didn't know why. Ant jumped on her bed, lying down. She thought about what had happened on Tuesday.

Why was Joseph jealous of her and Lucas? Why?

Ant was a clueless person so of course she didn't get it at first. Her uncle's voice shouting from downstairs brought her back to reality.

She walked downstairs and saw her uncle sitting down in his vast living room, smoking a cigarette and reading a piece of paper in his hand. It seemed like a letter.

"Ant, what's going on? It says here that you've been misbehaving at school... What's the matter? Is it the students there? I could get them expelled in the blink of an eye, don't hesitate to tell me," her uncle said sternly.

Ant laughed, rolling her eyes. "It's everyone. But don't worry, Lou, I'm doing just fine," she said, smiling softly at her uncle.

Louis smiled back, burning the paper with the end of his cigarette. "That's all I needed to hear, Ant, you can go now."

She went back upstairs and went back to her bed, pulling out her cigarettes and lighting one. She smoked, looking at the ceiling for a while before deciding to go out.

She climbed out of her window and clung onto the branch. Suddenly, her hand slipped and she fell, landing with a thud on the ground.

Ant felt her arm break, as she lay there. She was silent for a while, her vision a bit blurry. After a minute, she burst out laughing.

She stopped instantly as she felt her right arm throb painfully. "Ow, for fucks sake!" she hissed, her arm hurting worst than ever.

She didn't want to yell out for help, because that was pathetic. She decided to get up herself and walk to the hospital.

Ant looked down and groaned before trying to stand up. All she managed to was lift her head... This looked like it would take a long time, and Ant was one stubborn girl.

Four hours later, Ant had finally got herself up, leaning against the house, her arm pathetically broken and useless.

She had a few naps on the soft grass which took most of the four hours. Ant began to walk to the hospital, her arm aching with every step but she still went on.

You're probably thinking she's so stupid for not getting help, but Ant never wanted help.

Once she finally reached the hospital, the doctors were confused to see a girl with a broken arm showing up at the hospital alone.

"What have you done to yourself? Where are your parents?" a nurse asked as she escorted her into a room, taking a look at her arm.

"Well, my dad left me when I was three, and my mom abused the hell out of me... So I ran away and started living with my uncle. I tried to jump out my window but then I fell and well... here I am," she explained casually.

The nurse stared blankly before putting her arm through the X-ray machine. "Your bone is broken, so we'll have to put your arm in a cast," the nurse said.

Ant shrugged but regretted it as it caused a stinging pain in her arm to occur. She gasped slightly before playing it off as a cough, which only hurt her arm even more.
