A/N - This chapter was semi-inspired by the song Your Power by Billie Eilish. I basically just imagined Eddie as the older/veteran rockstar and reader being his wife who is just super protective of all the younger women she meets after years of seeing the men in the industry abusing their power. Obviously, Eddie would be her biggest supporter, so they would end up adopting a bunch of baby rockstars into their lives. I hope you all enjoy it.

You had been scowling from your spot at your table for the last ten minutes, trying your hardest to keep a level head as you watched one of the most popular men in music flirt with what was essentially a child right in front of everyone.

"Babe," Eddie hummed beside you, his hand settling on your thigh under the table, drawing you back to him as gently as he could manage. You glanced in his direction, forcing the glare from your features. "Do you want me to say something?" he pressed, nodding towards where you had been staring.

As your eyes strayed back to the pair on the other side of the room you considered the question. Sure, you could send Eddie over there and he could interrupt and it would delay the inevitable. You could sleep soundly tonight knowing that you'd protected a little girl from one of the biggest predators in the industry. But he would just move on to someone else. He would find another target. Another teenager who didn't know better.

"No," you murmured, placing your hands over his and giving it a gentle squeeze. "I'm just going to run to the restroom," you added, watching as he took a deep breath, all too aware that you had an ulterior motive.

"Alright," he hummed, drawing you in to press a quick kiss to your lips before releasing you. "Be careful, Princess," he added softly.

You were quick to gather your courage then, making your way across the room to where the pair were standing. He was looming over her at this point, shielding her from the eyes in the room with his body.

"You know, a pretty thing like you, you must have boys falling all over you-"

God, his words were enough to make you feel queasy. She couldn't be much older than 16 and he was looking at her like he was ready to eat her right up.

"Don, is that you?" you cried out, forcing a bright smile onto your lips as you pushed yourself in beside them. "Oh, it's been so long since we last bumped into each other," you pressed on, watching as his smile faltered, trying his hardest to place you. "And this young lady must be your daughter," you added, turning your gaze to her.

"No, Ma'am," the girl started, glancing between you and the man with wide eyes. "Just a fan," she added, her voice so sweet and soft that it made your heart tighten in your chest.

"Oh, Darlin'," you hummed out with a soft chuckle. "You're far too young to be bothering yourself with music by old men like him," you continued. "'specially with all these boy bands gettin' so popular."

She practically giggled at your comment, her eyes straying over to the man next to you for a moment.

"You know, I think I saw the guys from Hanson over by the bar," you told her.

"No way?"

"I know, right," you pressed on. "I'd get over there before everyone realises who they are and starts bothering them."

She nodded, grinning from ear to ear now. "Thank you so much," she told you.

"You are so welcome," you hummed, watching as she hurried away from you.

"Did you come over here just to cockblock or did you need something?" the man grumbled, and you turned to him with a glare that left him a little started.

"I always heard rumours that you liked younger women, but that was a child," you bit at him.

"Hardly-"

"How old is she?"

He hesitated for a moment. "What?"

"How old is that girl that you were trying to talk into your bed?"

He swallowed down the lump in his throat. "I don't know. Like 22-"

"Bullshit," you spat at him. "She barely even looked 16 and you weren't even going to ask before you took her home with you?"

"She didn't say she was underage-"

"She's a kid and you're famous. Of course, she didn't," you interrupted. He released a frustrated sigh as you spoke, shaking his head in the process. "You're not even slightly ashamed of yourself are you? You'd only ever give a shit if it actually started affecting your career-"

"That husband of yours should get a leash for you. Get you back in line," he muttered, watching as your lips tipped up at his comment. "Thought rockstars would have a bit more edge to 'em-"

You snorted at that. "Believe me, Eddie has an edge to him," you uttered. "But he reserves it for the people deserving of it. You know, assholes like you? He wouldn't dream of doing anything to hurt someone who didn't deserve it."

"Then perhaps you married the wrong man," he told you. "Bitches like you need a firm hand to keep you in line from time to time."

"Everything alright over here, Babe?" Eddie's voice interrupted, his hand shifting to rest on your hip as he glared down at the man across from you.

"Oh, I'm peachy keen," you hummed softly, offering up a sweet smile to him. "Just learning that, apparently, you need to start knocking me around more," you pressed on.

He raised an eyebrow, eyes still fixed on the man, his jaw set tight. "Is that so?"

"I didn't mean anything by it. It was just a joke-"

"You think hitting women is funny?" Eddie interrupted.

The man hesitated, shifting awkwardly on the spot. "No, I-"

"I always knew you were a nasty piece of work, but I didn't realise you were a woman beater," Eddie pressed on. "Me and my friends don't take kindly to that sort of thing."

"If I ever see you with another one of those little girls, I'm going to destroy your career," you added, leaning a little further into Eddie, seeking silent comfort. "I'll make sure you never work again," you pressed.

The man swallowed down the lump in his throat, all bravery gone now that you had Eddie at your side. He nodded before turning on his heel, making a hasty exit from the conversation.

"You good, Baby?" Eddie hummed, letting his arm wrap around your shoulders and pulling you into a quick hug, his lips pressing to your forehead.

"I'm good," you confirmed quietly. "Thank you," you added softly.

He hummed out a soft sound of understanding, tightening his grip on you slightly. "Come on, let's get you a drink."
