Kashima's POV:

Kan walked over to Jessica and whispered something in her ear. She shook her head no and laughed apologetically to her. Now that I had finally caught my breath I laughed after him and both of them looked at me a bit confused. It was written all over their faces.

"Oh, Im sorry. This situation was funny to me for some reason. As for clubs and classes..." I paused thinking of what other clubs I would want to join.

Jessica and Kan both inched closer to me. Excitement shows in their eyes. I smiled at them. To me, they resembled children expecting a treat or knowing that they were going to an amusement park. It was cute.

"Umm, sorry," I said putting my hand on my neck.

"You apologize too much!" Jessica pouted.

"Yeah, you don't have to apologize for anything," Kan followed.

"Right," I nodded at them. "Um, I'm enrolled in two gym classes, Algebra II, English III, and Photography for a club."

Both of their jaws dropped at the names of my classes. A sly smile came across Kan's face.

"Are you sure you're a freshman?" He asked putting a stray index finger on my chest.

I backed up from his finer. "I am. I just took a lot of my introductory classes in Japan."

"That's amazing Kashima!" Jessica squealed.

I could feel my face turn red. The sound of my name came out of her mouth. It just became my new favorite music. I love it.

Kan's face turned to look at Jessica and then back at me. It's like a light bulb went off in his head and he smiled. But before he could act on whatever scheme was in his head, Jessica called out to me.

"Oh right, I was supposed to be showing you your room Kashima," she said.

"And don't forget about me," Kan added.

Although I had no idea what the heck was going on, Jessica understood the previously made arrangements. She nodded.

"Alright then. Let's move quickly. Follow me."

I wondered why she didn't grab my hand like she did earlier. The only conclusion in my brain came up to be that Kan was here. She walked twice as much as Kan and I had to because of her height. Soon we were in front of parallel doors---like we had been for the few minutes before that. And it looked like if we were to keep going, it would be the same.

E13 was on one side and the one parallel to it had E39. Jessica went up to the one with the 13.

"So this is my room. And E39 is going to be your room," she smiled. She then looked to Kan expectedly.

"My room is on Jessica's side by the window down there," he sighed as he pointed to the windows down the hall.

I nodded at the both of them but then there was this silence. It was odd.

"Me and Kan are going to exercise before it gets too late. Would you like to join us?" Jessica asked.

She had put her arms behind her back and leaned toward me a little bit. I nodded with a gulp and she chuckled. I don't think she even realized how red my face was.

She turned to her room and opened the door.

"In you're room?" I practically screamed.

"Calm down," she said. "Me and Kan always do it in my room. If you're that uncomfortable we can keep the door open."

"I'm not uncomfortable at all," I cried.

Lord help me.
