I wrap the towel around my wet body and yawn away the last trace of sleepiness before heading to the guest room.

Yesterday was fine. I met Adrien and I loved how sweet and kind he was toward me. Not to mention, they were so grateful for the cupcakes. It made my heart flutter with joy that I won their approval. All but one.

Sighing, I close the door behind me and unwrap the towel to start drying my damp hair.

Besides his rudeness, he's also very mysterious. He only quipped in a reply once in a while in between our conversations. He refused to be included in our silly games and didn't eat his cupcake. I took it as his rejection of my offer to be friends.

I know he's rude but I wish he wasn't. It would silence my head with all these thoughts about him. Silent my desperation to find out why I'm not good enough to be friendly toward to.

Scoffing, I dry my body and put on today's attire. A summer dress with white sneakers, and a crop sweater as the weather isn't hot enough without it yet. I combed my hair and tied it into a messy bun, and when I saw a few bumps I pinned them down with barbie pins.

I smooth down the dress and grab my backpack before heading to the kitchen. I'm relieved Gabriel agreed to me staying overnight. I was feeling lonely. Pathetic that I couldn't even go without someone for a day.

My jaw drops and my body freezes, appalled at the sight of Avalon sitting on the counter, Gabriel in between her legs, and the couple engrossed with one another. I clear my throat and Avalon pulls away in fright. We make eye contact and I raise my brow at her flustered face. Gabriel groans, in need of her kisses.

" Not now, " she whispers and pushes him aside to jump off the counter.

I chuckle when I see her legs shake a bit before they don't.

" Ah, Catalina, how was the sleep? "

" Great. How was yours? " I smile smugly and her eyes widen, cheeks reddening.

" Stop it, " she hissed in a whisper and I only snicker, " Would you like coffee? "

" No, " I cut in curtly and walked over to the counter, making sure to sit as far as possible from where she was. I don't know what fluids made contact with the surface.

" Oh come on, Latina. "

I shake my head and greet a brooding Gabriel with a short, kind smile. He returns it but it doesn't reach his eyes. I'm glad he's not a morning person.

" Avalon woke you? "

" Hey, " she warned.

Gabriel nods and I shake my head in humor.

" Of course, she did. "

" Hey! I'm right here. "

" Could you quiet the fuck down? "
