For lucy, she thought of herself as someone who should rightfully lead the upper class life while looking down at claire and others of her kind. Now that claire had witnessed her currying up to a fatty, the anger in her heart heightened.Lucy , do you know her?” the short and chubby man next to lucy asked.

“Yeah. She just came out of jail not too long ago and now works as a road sweeper!” lucy  viciously revealed claire's identity before looking at the manager. “Since when does Royal Court allow even a road sweeper to dine here?”

Isaac's  back was facing lucy, so she did not see him Unfortunately, the manager could!

Right now, he was trembling in fear and wished that he could chase lucy out of the restaurant right away.

‘So what if she just came out of jail or if she is a road sweeper. As long as Young Master  Landford wants to bring her in for a meal, even a beggar can eat here.

“It is not up to you to decide who can come in to dine at our restaurant. I hope that you will apologize to this lady here!” the manager said to lucy jones.
Lucy wanted to explode in a rage that instant. She was supposed to apologize to claire What a joke!

“Don’t you want to keep your job?” She spat angrily before leaning pitifully at the middle-aged man next to her. “Mr. Watt this man wants me to apologize to a road sweeper. How absurd!”

Mr. Watt was about to say something for lucy when he heard a crisp and cold voice. “What is the big deal with an apology? Even if you need to kneel, you should do it.”

Mr. Watt was flabbergasted. When he looked up to see who it was, his expression changed.

‘This is… isaac ! President of Landford Group!’

Mr. Watt had seen isaac once during a dinner gathering. However, because of the difference in status, he had no way of getting near isaac for a chat.

Mr. Watt had wanted to get near isaac to get acquainted with him, but he was short of the opportunity.

He would never have imagined that he would meet isaac once again during such an occasion. Furthermore… it was obvious based on the current situation that lucy had offended isaac.

Mr. Watt was a man who loved pretty girls, and lucy  had been pleasing him very well throughout the times they spent together.

For a beautiful proud princess like her to clamber all over him, it was something that boosted his ego very much!

However, if compared to the potential chance of offending Mr. Landford , Mr. Watt would not mind slapping lucy instead!

She was looking for trouble when there was none. Of all the people she had to scold, she scolded the person next to isaac!

“Mr… Young Master Landford it’s just a misunderstanding! A misunderstanding!” Mr. Watt quickly explained as beads of sweat formed on his forehead.

“Misunderstanding?” isaac’s cold gaze swept across Mr.Watt “If misunderstandings are easily formed in this world, then there are going to be plenty of misunderstandings circulating.”

Mr. Watt’s expression turned bad as his fatty flesh trembled.

Lucy looked dumbfounded. Although she did not know who this man was, she knew that he was not a simple character if Mr. Watt was being this careful with his interaction.

At that moment, she noticed that claire’s hand was interlocked with that man’s.

No matter how big a bimbo lucy was, she knew that she had just committed a great offense.

‘Since when did claire get to know such a handsome and rich man?’ Jealousy rose within lucy, but soon, she realized that the man looked rather familiar.

It was as if she had seen him somewhere before.

Suddenly, lucy’s eyes lit up. She said, “You’re… the pretty boy that belongs to claire?”

When that was said out loud, the manager’s expression changed instantly. Mr. Watt nearly fell to the ground, wishing that he did not know such a woman like lucy.

Nobody in the whole of Emerald City dared to say such a thing to isaac unless they were asking for a death wish!

Isaac  smirked as he looked at lucy but his gaze was exceptionally cold.

Lucy jones what nonsense are you spouting! This is the president of Landforf Group isaac !” Mr. Watt anxiously explained.

Lucy  widened her eyes in disbelief.

‘This man… is isaac?!

‘Impossible! Why would isaac be together with claire? The person that claire killed during that road traffic accident was isaac's fiancée!’ lucy  recalled that before her family fell from claire, there was a time when her colleagues had bullied claire at the clubhouse. The person that came to rescue claire was isaac!

At that time, everyone thought that her colleagues had merely disturbed the tranquility of isasc thus claire was so fortunate to be rescued by isaac. Now when she thought about it… That was no coincidence at all!

Lucy suddenly felt that her blood was flowing in a reverse direction. It was as if her blood was going to burst out of her veins.

“But… But claire…” lucy could not finish her sentence when her eyes met the icy gaze of  isaac . She could not speak a word after that.

Horror rose in her heart, and her instincts told her that worse things would await her if she continued to blabber on!

“lucy , quickly apologized to Young Master Landford and this lady!” Mr. Wattt rushed her.
Lucy looked so humiliated looking at claire who remained muted.

Apologizing to claire would be like a slap on her face!

However, she had no choice but to comply regardless of how unwilling she was. She had to comply because the man next to claire was isaac.

Just when lucy decided to let herself suffer a little and apologize,Isaac plainly said, “Then kneel to apologize.”

‘Kneel?!’ lucys eyes widened as anger rose within her. “You want me to kneel and apologize to her?”

“So what? Do you think she does not deserve to receive your kneeling?” isaac casually said. “It doesn’t matter what you think. If I say that she deserves it, then she deserves it!”

The expression on lucy face kept changing while Mr. Watt kept pushing her to apologize. “lucy, quickly kneel and apologize. Since you’re the one who did a mistake, then apologize sincerely!”

However, there was a problem… If she knelt here, everyone would be able to witness it. How was lucy supposed to live with her head held up high from now on?! A fierce debate was going on within lucy's heart.

As for claire she merely felt that whatever was happening right now was like a bad joke.

She saw that lucy was about to kneel in front of her.

She wanted to avoid it, but a pair of hands was pressing firmly on her shoulders, rendering her motionless.

“Sis, don’t move. She wants to apologize, so let her do it properly,” isaac whispered beside claire ear.

Such an intimate action sent chills running down the manager and Mr. Watt’s spines as fear crept up in their hearts.

It was said that isaac never had any woman beside him all this while. Even with his late fiancée, both of them remained courteous toward each other. Nobody ever saw him being so close to another woman before.

Plus, he was demanding justice for a woman in public?

Lucy knelt and stuttered as she made her apology. Claire, it… it is my fault, I shouldn’t have said such things to you. I… I’ll never do that again. Please forgive me!”
