Twilight: A New Beginning

Friend or Foe?

  Bella and Jacob arrived at Billy's house and saw the door had been busted open. Billy's wheelchair was still outside from when Jacob had thrown it during their argument.

   Bella gulped and her and Jacob ran inside. "Dad?" Bella asked wearily, "Dad, where are you?" She heard a yelp from inside, it was Billy Black gasping for air. The pair ran isnside and approached Billy who lay on the floor weeping. "I-I... I can't believe my own best friend is a vampie... My mortal enemy." Billy spoke, as he bled from a large gash in his neck. Charlie growled from accross the room as he tried to hold himself back from attacking Billy again. 

   Jacob started to cry and took his shirt off and ripped it, then used it to cover his dad's wound. He held the cloth against the wound as he turned to  Bella. "Bella, you have to get help! What do we do?" Bella was shaking and ran towards the phone quickly and dialed 922. Before the operator could answer she quickly hung up, there was nothing they could do. Whetehr they liked it or not Billy was going to become a vampire too, despite the werewolf DNA running through his veins, the same DNA which has been passed to Jacob despite Billy not being a wolf himself. Wolf genes were recessive, so Billy did not have the same fast healing that werewolves did. "What the fuck are you doing?! Why did you hang up?" Jacon growled at her, and she frowned, unsure how to break the news to Jacob.

  "Jacob.." she began, "There's nothing that doctors can do. The vampire venom is running through his body now as we speak. You're father is going to become a vampire. I'm sorry." Jacob's eyes shot open, he couldn't believe it. "I can't believe this. There's no way! The man has wolf DNA running through his veins for Christ's sake!" Bella frowned and furrowed her brows. "I'm sorry Jacob, but just because he has recessive wolf DNA doesnt make him immune to vampire venom." Jacob clenched his teeth and his fists as he held back tears, "I'm sorry, old man.."

 Charlie ran off, as the reality of the situation had finally dawned in him. Guilt consumed him and he started to cry as he ran with his vampire speed as far as he could. Bella called after him, but he ignored her. Billy started to shake suddenly before he screamed, the transformation had begun.

 Jacob cried as he watched his father scream and cry. Bella winced as she remembered how painful her trans formation was. The venom felt like fire in your veins, it was a long and painful process. She frowned and put a hand on Jacob's back, who had backed away from his father out of fear. He flinched away at her touch, and gave her a dirty look. "You just.. Just get out of here! I never want to see you again! I should have never tried to helped you, you disgusting bloodsucker!" he pushed Bella onto the floor, his werewolf strength causing her to break through the floorboards as she yelped in pain. She clenched her jaw as he bared his wolf teeth. Bella got up and ran out of fear.

 She didn't know where Charlie had gone, and without her vampire speed she didn't have a way to search for him. What could she do? The two people who wanted to help her had abandond her. Where would she turn to now? Suddenly, she remembered. The Cullens. It made sense of course, as the Cullen fammily had been her safe haven for so long. It only made sense that they would help her now in her time of need.

 Bella stole Jacob's car and made her way to the Cullen household. Immediately, she was greeted by Alice, Edward's sister who could see the future. It seemed like Alice had been waiting for her, I guess she knew this would happen. Maybe this was what she saw all along?

 Alice hugged Bella tightly, giving her a sisterly peck on the cheek. "Bella, you finally came! I'm so sorry for all the trouble Zanarya had put you tghrough. And.. for the trouble my brother did too. I told him everything, about the future of him killing Eddy and you leaving him because of Zanarya's offer. I'm just so sorry, Bells." Bella tried to smile but ended up crying as she released all the stress that had accumulated. Alice frowned and let go of Bella, as Edward appeared next to her. She was taken aback, as Edward hugeed her tightly and kissed her. "Bella, my darling, I'm so sorry. I promise I will work on my anger issues and change things in the future. But for now, we need to defeat Zanarya so we can fix everything. Everything that happened... because of me." Bella looked away from him, still unable to face tge man she practically threw her life away to get away from. Of course, she still loved him. That would never change. 

Alice went inside to help the Cullen family to form a plan. Edward held Bella's hand, and wiped her tears as he spoke to her soothingly. "Bella, I got us into this mess, I will get us out of here. I promise you that." Bella didn't know what to say, but gave a slight nod. "Bella, I understand if after I fix everything you... don't want to be with me anymore. Even if I erase my mistakes and defeat Zanarya, i know I cannot erase your memories and all the trauma I caused..." Suddenly, Bella was overwhelmed by the feelings of eternal love she had for him. She held him and crashed her lips into his cold lips. He kissed back and held her waste as she leaned into him, begging for more. She had missed this. 

  They kissed for a while, until Carlisle c(Edward father)alled them both inside. They approached the house as Bella wiped the saliva from her mouth. Carlisle had them both take a seat in thekitchen as he stood standing. "Okay lovebirds, it;s timr to explain the plan that we came up with." Bella looked intently as she listened.
