02: A BLIND WOMEN HELPS TWO (SORT OF) FUGITIVES
After five years of living across the hall from the beautiful Asian man, Mason couldn't believe the first time he would talk to him would be in the back of a cop car. But Mason didn't care. He just couldn't believe how calm and collected he felt around Noah. As an author (a struggling one at that), Mason's mind was all over the place. But the few minutes he spent with Noah, Mason has never felt so at peace. It was scary that few minutes with that beautiful angel could do that to him.
"Mason. Massooon. Anybody in there," Mason heard Noah say.
"Oh sorry. What did you say? I got lost in my thoughts," Mason replied slightly embarrassed (so embarrassed he was pretty sure he was blushing).
"No worries. I was just saying that my friend Lila could help us stay away from the cops for the night."
"Uh yeah. Sure. Lead the way," Mason replied as cool as he could.
"Oh yeah one more thing. You should know Lila's a bit eccentric," Noah said after awhile.
"What do you mean?" Mason asked clearly confused at what Noah just said.
"You'll know soon enough," Noah said. And with that the two men walked side by side in the cool July night in a comfortable silence.

After reaching Lila's house Noah couldn't wait to meet her (note the sarcasm). The whole way over here Noah would not stop babbling ban out how amazing Lila was. Admittedly, Mason couldn't help but be jealous of Lila but he also thought that Noah was adorable when he was babbling about something. But of course all that jealously left when Noah let it slip he was gay during his babbling.
"So here we are," Noah said standing outside the door.
"Aren't you going to knock?" Mason asked.
"Right. I should probably do that," Noah said sheepishly. After knocking, Mason heard a lot of barking and yelling coming from the other side of the door. And then the door swung open, revealing a women in her twenties sitting in a wheelchair with sunglasses on in a dimly lit hallway. Standing next to her, stood a golden retriever who immediately stopped barking after seeing Noah's face.
"Noah my darling, I've been expecting you. But the handsome man standing next you, him I did not expect. Nevertheless both of you come on in. You're letting all cool air out.
"Lila, we need your help," Noah said once inside the apartment.
"I know Noah. Both of you escaped the police and now you need a place to rest, Lila responded.
"How'd you know all that?" Mason asked impressed and slightly scared.
"I may have lost my vision and most of the feeling in my legs Mason but my psychic abilities are always on point," Lila said with a slight laugh. "And yes you can stay here as long as you need Noah as long as you feed Pringles over here."
"Of course. Come here Pringles," Noah said leading the dog to the kitchen.
"Also, you two are going to have to share a room. I'm renovating my other guest room," Lila said with a little smirk. Turning to Mason Lila whispered, "You should know he's quite the cuddler."
Hi guys. Please don't kill me for not updating but I kind of had writers block and this chapter was kind of a spur of moment kind of thing. Sorry if it's crappy. But vote and comment if you think otherwise *gives you puppy dog eyes* I hope you guys like Lila. She's different from other characters I've written which makes me love her even more. Also, dedicated to @seemingly for being a doll and inspiring me to update. One more thing, I promise I'll update on Wednesday. Two more finals to go *fingers crossed* Anyways until Wednesday, peace out.
