I was plopped onto a couch by the monochrome skeleton.

He had been carrying me around since we went through a portal. It was kind of funny seeing his surprised face when he remembered that he was still carrying me. Like, how do you forget that you're holding one whole monster?

What was I supposed to be doing again?

I didn't know what else to do, so I just looked at everything around me. I had a very strong urge to just lay down and sleep right then and there though.

N̶o̶. ̶t̶o̶o̶ ̶m̶a̶n̶y̶ ̶f̶o̶r̶e̶i̶g̶n̶.̶ ̶N̶e̶e̶d̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶s̶t̶a̶y̶ ̶u̶p̶.̶ ̶W̶h̶e̶r̶e̶'̶s̶ ̶b̶r̶o̶t̶h̶e̶r̶?̶

The walls were a nice shade of gray, with the curtains being a solid black. Going along with the dark but 'royalty' theme (from what I see anyway), the ceilings had several chandeliers hanging down, with some having what seems to be blue strings tied to them in little bows. Neat.

The four skeletons on the other hand were talking amongst themselves, discussing what happened to my AU. How 'abnormal' that was.

I lightly put a hand to my chest.

Where's the stinging coming from?

"Wow, that was wild! Do ya think Error actually did that? Because I think I want him to do it again!"

A giggle followed after that and also a smack to the head.

"We're not endangering ourselves just for your entertainment Killer! And also, that's not the way Error destroys, dumbass."

A hooded figure stood by the one that giggled, massaging the hand that he used to smack the eternally trying skeleton.

"Ow... but Dusty~, wasn't that thrilling?"

"No."

"At least think about my question for a little bit before answering!"

The one sided conversation kept going between the two monsters.

It was entertaining to say the least. The not-so conversion was kept going by one, while the other commented simple but painful jabs at the other (who only laughed it off).

That was, until a portal similar to the one before was opened, and out came the goopy guy.

He looks like jello.

"Did any of you even think about checking your wounds? There could have been some kind of pollution in the air with how the AU collapsed on its own?"

All of them looked at each other, then back at their leader.

"Shi-"

'Killer' dashed down the hall, the second and third followed right after, presumably to tend to their wounds. The goopy monster sighed and mumbled to himself in exasperation.

This seemed to be a recurring situation for Goopy.

He then took a deep breath, and looked at me in question. He looked as if he was eating a lemon with how scrunched up his eyebrows(?) were.

"Apologies for the... inconvenience on your first day." he slowly started facing me, still watching the running skeleton figures.

"I am Nightmare. Guardian and upholder of Negative feelings." He gave me a slight nod in greeting.

"I assume Cross has already asked you for your consent in recruitment? We are in desperate need for more allies and you seemed to be in a special need of help, but it seems we were a bit late on that department."

I tilted my head and stared at him.

What recruitment?

'Nightmare' looking– slightly confused at my confusion– rephrased his question.

"He did ask you if you wanted to join... right?"

I blinked. 'Nightmare' looked at me as his whole body stopped; even his tendrils that'd been swaying ever since he got here.

"Has Cross talked to you at all? The one with a red scar on his face and wears only two colors on himself?"

I remembered the time the one with the red Z scar talked to me once in a serious manner right after he looked like a raccoon.

Hehe, raccoon.

I nodded at him halfheartedly, then shrugged.

He probably did, but I couldn't really hear him say anything soo..

'Nightmare' looked at me with a kill-me-now deadpan.

"This is going to be a common thing isn't it."

I smiled lightly.
