"Terry?" I asked one evening as we laid in bed, curled up under the blankets, he hummed, waiting for me to continue, "Can we go up to Oregon this summer when it's warmer and spread my uncles ashes?"

"Of course sweetheart, whatever you want," was all he said, quietly in my ear as he pulled me closer to his chest. His fingers teased under the thin camisole I wore to bed. I fell asleep quickly in his arms, as I always do.

The next day, Terry wanted to leave work early and take me shopping again, I sat at my desk, leaning back, I sighed, "Terry, it's a week to Christmas, you do not need to take me out again. You've gotten me so much and there's dozens of gifts under the tree, can't we just go to lunch and end the day early? Please?"

Terry straightened his gi and strutted over to me, motioned for me to stand, I did, he moved past me and sat in my chair, he pointed to his lap, I looked at him with wide eyes, he smirked, "Sit," he said.

I mouthed, 'oh,' and sat on his lap, he wrapped his arms around me, "Sweetheart... Do you know who I am?"

I blinked, laughed and said, "Well... Yeah... Of course I know who you are."

"Who am I?"

.... "Terry Silver."

"Yes. And?"

"Um... 'And' what? What else is there?" I giggled lightly.

He gripped me tightly, his fingers wrapping around my jaw, making sure I can't look away, "And... I always get what I want... I want to spoil you and get you things, I want to see you happy, and I want what I want, I will get what I want, even get you what you want."

My puppy eyes never looked away, "O-okay," I said quietly.

Terry smiled, bringing my lips to his. He rested his forehead against mine, "I love you, Ella... I'll ease up, I know you're a simple woman, and I am far from a simple man. 'Opposites attract,' right? Let's have lunch wherever you want to go, then, maybe we can invite Sensei Da Eun and the others over a little later? Hm?"

"That sounds like a great idea," I caressed his face, "I know you always get what you want," I giggled, "You got me right?"

Terry held me as close as he could to him, "That's right," he smiled, kissing me up and down my face, causing me to laugh.

He wrapped up class, as he always did, he informed Sensei Da Eun and Sensei Yong Woo that we were leaving early but they were all invited over later.

"You know," Terry said as he poured me a glass of champagne, "Sensei Da Eun thinks I'm not taking my duties more seriously when it comes to Cobra Kai."

I felt a pang of hurt and guilt in my gut as he said this, he continued, "I asked her if the growing number of students in each dojo has her upset, my lovely assistant making sure numbers are looking good and everyone is taken care of or the fact that Cobra Kai has been welcomed into the coveted Sekai Taikai... Of course, she was silent on the matter. She thinks you cloud my vision."

"Oh," I said quietly looking at the table, "I don't know what to say to that. I know she's a hard one to read, I never knew if she liked me or not but clearly there's my answer."

"Nonsense," he smiled at me, "She likes you. She likes the work you're doing, she just believes I'm the one that's currently not focused. It's a compliment to you, Ella. You do distract me, but the numbers and the numbers of students don't lie."

We clinked glasses, "To us," Terry grinned, "To the many adventures I plan on having with you and many more years I wish to have with you."

Lunch was more than perfect, we didn't talk about the dojos or work or anything of that nature. We laughed and talked about what we wanted to grow up to be when we were little, the dreams we thought adulthood would look like. What our favorite thing to do was when we were bored as kids. It was fun conversation, Terry wanted to know more about other things I burned when I was left home alone.
