Note: This is set six months after James first met the Alpha's.
James
Being awoken to light kisses being peppered along my face, the pure bliss that is the intoxicating mix of sandalwood and vanilla, teasing me into consciousness, had become a common occurrence. It was one that I welcomed each time I was pulled from the comfort that sleep provided. For the longest time, sleep was an escape. But ever since I had first shared a bed with these alphas, sleeping had almost become a chore.
I wanted to be with them and not miss a moment of their affection, or the way their eyes would devour me with a single look.
"I know you're awake, Sunshine."
fingers gently caress my fluttering eyelashes, the morning drawl, making his already sultry voice, all that more seductive. Ivan never had to try, he was sex on legs and he knew it.
Lord, did I know it.
I was still sore from the night before, my whole body burning with a delicious ache I had come to welcome with the morning sun.
"So how about you open those pretty eyes of yours, I miss them already."
I shiver in delight as Alec lazily presses his face into the crook of my neck from behind me, his body melded to my own as he takes in a large inhale, scenting me the second he wakes and I moan on his exhale as warm air tickles against the sensitive skin.
All fatigue from the night before fades into oblivion. The effect these men had on me was no joke. All they needed to do was exist in my space and my body instantly craved their attention. Ready and waiting for whatever devious plans they had for me.
The expanse of highrise buildings and open sky acts as a backdrop to the smiling, blonde, alpha as he lies beside me, his aquamarine eyes taking in every detail on my sleepy face.
"There they are."
The smile that curves my lips comes naturally and I bask in the sight before me. Shirtless with ruffled hair was my favourite look on Ivan, by far.
"Maybe if you and Alec had taken it a bit easier on me last night, I would have woken up sooner."
The quick slap that meets my already reddened arse, has me jumping in Alec's tight embrace.
"Do I need to throw you over my knee so early in the morning, omega? Or perhaps a round two will freshen your memory."
Ivan's thumb traces my lips, his smile already turning to that wicked one I had long since come to learn, meant he planned to tease me and enjoy every second of my reactions.
"These naughty lips. To think, they begged for our cocks so prettily last night, and now they utter such blatant lies. You wound me Sunshine."
I bite my lips, my body humming with the need to be devoured all over again.
"Alas, we have a long journey ahead of us."
I blink at him in confusion and his finger pokes where my eyebrows crease. It wasn't uncommon for one of them to disappear for days at a time, some jobs having them travel hours from home. But they had never taken me with them. I wasn't sure if I loved the idea of being with them or was terrified a the thought of being so close to the danger they faced.
Alec props himself on his elbow and turns my face toward him by my chin. Black hair lays messily on his head as obsidian eyes stare right into the core of my soul and I gulp at the intensity of the man before me.
"Do you trust us, James?"
From the moment they stole me away from the flames of the centre, a part of me trusted them to at least keep me safe. Everything since then had built on that small spark. When it came to these two, I could confidently say I trusted them completely.
