We were too careless. Flashes of small regrets eat at my conscience as I watch the panic slowly desperate and turn into a carnal need that I craved to quel there and then.
The door should have been shut.
At least one of us should have scented her delicious cherry, long before she ever got close enough to hear our conversation.
But most of all, we should have been honest with her.
We spend most of our time before a job, researching and collecting data on our targets and those around them. I suppose it had become too much of a habit, one that blinded us to how badly this would affect her. She's a shy creature who keeps her secrets guarded and we dug right into them without a worry for how she would take it.
A part of me does not regret it. We needed to know of any possible threats and we found so much more. She was in danger and she needed our help. I can only pray that, in time, she comes to see what we did as what it was. Us trying to keep her safe.
For now what mattered most was ensuring the heat went smoothly, even if she no longer wanted us after it is all said and done, at least we can say we tried our best by her. Even if the sight of her small back walking away would break me.
Her shaking hands desperately pull at the shirt, which no doubt feels like sandpaper on her newly sensitive skin. Omega's are naturally delicate creatures but far more so whilst in heat. They lose all rationality until the only thing that matters is an alpha's knot.
Alec wastes no time in ripping the material away to reveal, creamy flushed skin. Droplets of sweat gleam in the flickering candlelight and I am awestruck once again.
He steps back to admire the creature, laid bare in her nest of finery. My mouth salivates as the deathly sweet aroma of cherries thickens the air, threatening to send me into a rut at any second.
The room had been re-stocked with all the necessities we would possibly need to keep Grace fed and cared for, during the next couple of days, before the heat dissipated. But I still catch my James checking the minifridge, as though to distract himself from the writhing omega, pleading us with her eyes and intoxicating scent to take her.
"It's all stocked baby, come here."
Ivan's handshakes, his eyes already bleeding to red as he beckons a frantic James to his side. He doesn't hesitate to join him, an ever-present worry gleaming beneath those emeralds that join my own.
She had accepted him during the first wave, but instinct is instinct. She will likely crave nothing but an alpha's touch, as she descends further into carnal lust. Not that we would ever allow him to feel left out if that does turn out to be the case.
Small, trembling hands fix and rearrange any misplaced parts of her nest, pruning and rearranging on an instinctual drive and I enjoy every second of it. She was preparing the space for her pack.
For us...
"May I enter, little one?"
Alec muscle's bulge with contested restraint, as he kneels a couple of feet away from the bed, fighting his need to enter her domain. His eyes glow maddeningly as he fights to keep his voice somewhat level, the preditor at the surface now as he watches her unblinkingly.
Slick-covered thighs rub together, fruitlessly searching for relief as she gazes at my alpha brother. The desperation reflected in those golden browns, was enough to bring any man to their knees.
She moans in torment. The sound high pitched and whiny, goes straight to my pulsing knot. My girth throbbing in time to my heart, each beat more painful than the last as I stand frozen. Too focused on maintaining my self-control to so much as flinch, in case my thinly strained restraint snapped. I would only hurt her if I were to give in. It is imperative that even as the rut takes over, I cling to a shred of sanity. The fear of accidentally harming her, is as strong as the need to claim.
