"Hey, Carter. What you doin'?" I asked, twirling my black hair on my finger.

"Nothin' much, gettin' ready for this dinner party Del is about to have. Wassup?"

"Well, since I'm not staying at my house while you're gone I had to go back and get my mail. There was a man there looking to be setting up some things around my house." I admitted.

"What!? And did you go and see anything?"

"No, I saw him and drove away. And now I'm too scared to go there. Come home, I'm running out of clothes here and you need some food." I teased. He knew I had money for lifetimes.

"Under the rug in my room, there is a safe. The combination is 2-24-10. It's money in there, so go crazy." He said.

"You know damn well I don't need your money. I'm good baby, I just want you to hurry and come back." I whined through the receiver.

He chuckled. "I've only been gone for a day and haven't even started to get what I'm looking for. But I'll be back in two days, maybe sooner if I get that info out of Del."

"Mhm, no bitches right?"

"No bitches, I'm a loyal thug. I'll be back soon, and don't go back to your house. Your dad already don't like me and I know he would hate me forever if something bad happened to you." He explained.

"I'm not, do you think I'm crazy? I'll be here until you get back. Can I invite a friend over?" I asked.

"A friend like who? I don't like random people coming where I lay my head." He questioned.

"Julius. Since me and Parker not friends no more." I said. Honestly, I was not caring about that bitch at all. She was literally dead to me.

"Yeah he can come over. But that's it, and don't let me find out you had a party in that bitch." He warned me, kissing me through the phone. "I love you, Vic." He crooned through the receiver.

I smiled, feeling my stomach fill with butterflies and my cheeks turn red. "I love you too, Carter." I replied, hanging up the phone.

I dialed Julius's number and told him the address to come over. I hopped out of the big bed and put on some pink sweats, a big t shirt of Carter's and my black and pink Jordan slides. I put my hair into a tight bun and went downstairs to the kitchen.

Carter had all the snacks, but no real food. He had all the processed food you could eat though, which I was not used to. I pulled out a pack of anytizer chicken tenders and tossed them all into the oven, and found fruit and drinks in the fridge. I put the watermelon in a big bowl and found chips and stuff for us to eat with everything. I felt like pigging out at the moment and I would be doing so.

After I had carried all the food, blankets and pillows to the spacious living room, the doorbell rang. I grabbed the gun that Carter had left for me on the bed, and went to the door, cocking it back and peeked at the security cameras. I saw Julius standing there, holding his phone and a bag of more goodies.

I opened the door and attacked him with hugs and kisses. "Damn, did you miss me Vic?"

"Yes!" I grabbed his hand and led him into the house, slamming and locking the door behind me. I set the alarm again and we went into the living room, Julius looking around.

"Damn, this how Carter living? Let's share him!" He joked, plopping down onto the sofa.

I giggled and opened his snack bags. "You know Carter loves you like a brother, JuJu. You might get him to give you a little sum sum." I said, bursting into laughter.

He took off his jacket and tossed it on the arm of the couch, kicking off his shoes in the process. "Where is his ass anyway?"

"He went down South to visit someone and get some information about stolen product or some shit. He's gonna be down for like two days at the most. I miss him already."

He reached over and pinched my light cheeks, squeezing them hard. "Aww, is my little Victoria in love with the plug?"

I swatted his hand away and rubbed the sore spots. "Maybe so, all in our business nosy."

"Did you give him some ass?"

My face burned and I looked at my lap. "No! I'm not giving him anything until I'm ready to. And he hasn't asked me about it either."

He shook his head and ate some chips out of the open bag. "You know, the ones that wait on you to be ready, are the ones you should keep."

"Do you like Carter?"

He shrugged. "I mean, my opinion of him changed when he let the alcohol get the best of him and was fucking with Parker hoe ass. But if I cut that out, then he's a cool dude. A little rough around the edges, but still a cool dude." He explained, sipping my orange juice.

"I'm getting over that she such a hoe. But we not gonna be friends anymore. She continuously burns me over and over."

He pulled me into his arms and I laid there on his chest, enjoying the comfort I always felt with my friend. He was really always there for me, and never shook my faith in him. He was my confidante, ride or die, and everything in between. "You'll be fine, You got me, Carter, and your dad. That's really all you need. Everybody else in your life are just the extras in your show. They leave when you say leave."

"Jesse keeps popping in and out, even though I made it clear I didn't want to see him anymore. And it's beginning to make me uneasy, that's why I'm here. Because he knew where my new house was even though I didn't tell him shit." I admitted to him.

He looked down at me and licked my forehead, staring at me seriously. "You know I would never let anything happen to you if I could prevent it."

I nodded my head and snuggled into his hard torso. "Yes I know. I'm just nervous. And now Carter's in on all my drama too, which I feel so bad about."

"He chose that for himself. He wanted to be with you. And I know he wouldn't let anything happen to you either. Cause if he did I would kill them both."

"I know, but it doesn't stop me from being worried about everything." I told him.

"Don't worry so much, we all got you." He picked up the remote and turned on the Netflix, immediately turning on our personal favorite: Halloween.

He got up to turn off the lights, then sat back down and covered us with a blanket. I laid back into him, and we began to watch it. Even though we watched the movie a thousand times, we still got scared and jumped at the crazy parts.

I woke up and it was pitch black in the living room. I glanced at the clock and saw that it was 2 something in the morning. Julius's hard body was under me and he was snoring lightly. I tried to re position myself by him, but I couldn't get comfortable. I decided to get up and put all the food and trash into the kitchen. I gathered everything and went into the kitchen, throwing the trash into the stainless steel garbage can. I put the left over food into the fridge so it wouldn't go bad and I wiped the counters down with bleach spray.

I felt arms wrap around my shoulder and jumped. "Julius don't fucking do that!" I yelled, turning around.

He stood there frowning. "You left me alone in there and I woke up because you were my warmth." He accused me, hands on his hips.

I giggled loudly and grabbed his hand, leading him to the couch. "I'm sorry best friend, I was uncomfortable."

He glared at me. "I'm up now, soooo, Being Mary Jane?"

I clapped my hands and turned the television show on. "Yes!"
