"I like this one for you, Vic." Julius said, pointing to a Hennessey Venom GT. Priced at $1.1 Mil.
I looked at him like he was out of his mind. "Do you really think my daddy is gonna let me pay for this? You have to be crazy." I said.
"No you have to be crazy. You know Felix will do anything for you." He replied. "Plus, Felix has gotten cars for way more than that, so I know he ain't gon mind." He added.
I waved over a salesman. "Can you tell me a little about this car?"
The man was a tall, Idris Elba look-alike with dark skin, a nice goatee and a muscular build. He had on a Giorgio Armani wool suit with double-breasted pockets, and alligator dress shoes. Dressed to impress, but not to sale sports cars. "Are you thinking about buying this beauty?" He asked.
I nodded my head. "I am, but if I do I want to know why I'm buying it. And maybe what makes it three million dollars." I answered.
He smiled and began to tell me the secrets of the foreign vehicle. "This car is the fastest ever production car, capable of 271 miles per hour. The Venom GT is filled with enough horsepower to stretch across the Lone Star State itself, packing a mind-blowing 1,500 horsepower mined from a poisonous 7.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine. 0-60 is pegged at two seconds. The riotous acceleration doesn’t end there, though, the Venom claims a top speed of 287 mph." I looked at him like he was ridiculous; he didn't even take a breath. "If you didn't think it was worth this price, think again." He told me.
Julius looked at me and smiled. "How bout it?"
I looked at the car in speculation. Maybe it was worth it. "If it has all that why is it priced so low?" I asked. "Shouldn't it be worth more than that?"
"It's considered a low car. Look at the exterior, and tell me that this looks like a four million dollar car. It just looks like a regular sporty car. The thing that makes it different is the mechanics, not the looks."
I nodded my head and dialed my father. "Hey daddy." I said. If I had to butter him up, then I had to start now.
"Hey baby girl. What's up?"
"I'm at Venom, and I was looking at a new car that I want?" I slowed.
"And? How much is it?" He got to the point.
"It's a mil. But daddy it is totally worth it!" I rushed to say. Julius laughed in the background, making me die of silent laughter.
"Okay, but I better see it after you get it. I wanna know where my money is going." He demanded. I gave the salesman a thumbs up, and thanked my father, hanging up the phone.
"I told you he was gon agree." Julius said. I hit his arm.
"You had me over here silent giggling and shit!"
"It was funny," He said, making a funny face. "Oh, daddy but it's really worth the price!" He mocked me.
"Shut the fuck up, or yo ass is gon walk home." I threatend.
The salesman walked back over to me with papers and things that I needed to sign. "Do you wish for us to customize a license plate for you?" He asked. I shook my head as I finished signing the last paper. I handed him my black card that was linked to my father's bank accounts.
"Can you just ring it up and maybe get someone to put my old license plate on the back?" I asked, sitting down on the inside of the new car. I turned to Julius, as the man walked away again. "Can you drive my other car behind me?" I asked.
