SOMEWHERE in the empire, the lord of the estate is sitting gracefully on the long couch of his room, looking at his 'wife' lying on the bed, naked with 'something' dripping down her thighs. Finally, he claimed her.
The man stood up to go to his study to start some work. A while later, a servant knocked on his study and when they were allowed to come in, the servant handed him a letter. "Your grace, this is a letter from your father, shall I read it for you or will you read it yourself?" The servant asked
"Open it and read it to me. I'm signing some papers right now, it must be important since it came from my father" the man said, not looking up from the pile of work
The servant nodded and opened the letter and read its content "---You are hereby invited to a banquet, a celebration for the discovery of the Emperor's heir as well as the upcoming wedding of the emperor. Your presence is highly requested as a member of the imperial family.
Sincerely, Your father"
"Hm? An heir? Alistair got someone pregnant? Him? Alistair? Seriously?" He couldn't believe his ears, THAT man has a child and a wife now? Unbelievable.
MEANWHILE in the palace, Sidhi was sitting on the bed with the emperor laying on her stomach, his face close to the bump "Emperor? Do you not have work to do?" Sidhi asked the emperor who was busy rubbing her stomach.
"I do but it can wait, don't worry" was his reply
"Hm, but can't I really help with the preparations for the banquet?" Sidhi asked, trying to at least help around a bit
"No, I told you Sidhi, I'll take care of everything" he denied her request again
"I can't just leave all the work to you, emperor"
"I know but I can do it. I have help from my mom, dad and probably my siblings so don't worry and get some rest, okay? Stress is bad for the baby" now he's starting to lecture her. Sidhi wasn't able to do anything and just nod. A while later, a servant knocked on the door and only came in when Alistair told her to
"My emperor, the Grand Duke, your brother Axel is here and he wishes to talk to you" the servant explained
"Tell him to come to my chambers. I don't want to leave my wife's side" the servant nodded and went out the room
"We're not married yet, emperor please stop calling me your wife... People might get the wrong idea..." but the emperor just laughed. They heard a knock on the door and it opened shortly. There were two people standing outside. It was a man who looked much like Alistair, she guessed it was his brother and the other one...
"Amelia?!" She exclaimed, surprised to see her friend with the grand duke
"The heck? Sidhi?!" Amelia shot back "what are you doing here?!"
"Uhm, I've been here for more than a month already. What are YOU doing here?"
"Well... I can with my.... Husband..." There was a hint of hesitation in her voice
"Husband? Who? The Grand Duke?"
"Uh... Yes?" Sidhi just stared at her blankly. Among their friend group, Sidhi was the most responsible even though she wasn't the oldest "Oh, come on! Stop asking! And- wait... You look bloated... Are you pregnant?!" Amelia gasped
"Yes" instead of Sidhi, it was the emperor who answered. Amelia was startled, she didn't pay attention to the people inside so she immediately bowed "You must be Amelia? The current owner of the bar business owner by the Delgado's?"
"Yes emperor, I apologize for not noticing you quickly"
"It's fine. I'll talk to my brother, you talk to Sidhi" Amelia nodded and waited for the emperor and the grand duke to get out before sunning to the bed
"You b-tch! Why didn't you tell me that you live in the imperial palace?!"
"Why didn't YOU tell me that you married the Grand Duke?!" They both went silent and just shrugged. They continued talking until the two brothers went back
"SO, you're having a child, huh? So much for saying that you never want to be tied up to a woman" Axel smirked
"Shut the f-ck up. And you, what happened to 'I will never get married?" Alistair smirked at his brother too. Axel just kept quiet and avoided facing his brother but seconds later, his aura darkened. Axel told his brother about something and that information made his blood boil
"F-cking hell, we need to do something about this sh-t"
