6 - A Tale of Two Cities (JJK)

In a land of snow during Christmas time, there once was a man and a woman who were perfectly matched for each other in every aspect of life. Although the two had never met, their personalities matched and their minds were already very much in synchronisation with each other.

You see, our story begins on the night before Christmas, when Jungkook an upcoming businessman, sat at the airport lounge in Seoul where he'd delayed his flight to his home city, Busan, to accommodate some of his staff.

At the very same airport, coincidentally, was Soo-Ah, the lovely lady who was a match, made in heaven for Jungkook.

Fate, you see, had been playing a little game of musical chairs, for Jungkook was from Busan, but worked mainly in Seoul.

And Soo-Ah was from Seoul, but was heading to Busan for work related purposes over the Christmas holidays.

Now, one might think, these two individuals who both were in one city for so long, and have never met before, how would they ever meet now at Christmas?

But that is the beauty of fate and love. For it seeks us when we least expect it.

Christmas eve, an airport in Seoul.

"Mr. Jeon, thank you for delaying your flight. We really appreciate your dedication." Jungkook's assistant, Milli thanked Jungkook and bowed respectfully as she handed him a plain white envelope.

"Thank you Milli. I'll be working here from the airport lounge since my flight is only to be boarded at 9pm." He smiles at his assistant, assuring her he'll still be available to answer any questions.

Jungkook took out his laptop, placed it on the small round table he sat in front of, flipped it opens nonchalantly and connected the airport's WiFi.

About a hundred emails immediately flooded his inbox.

Oh great. I'll be spending Christmas answering bloody emails at this rate. He sighed to himself.

...

After about at hour or so of reading through stakeholder requests, disguised as unsuspecting Christmas wishes, Jungkook decided that he needed to stretch his leg a little.

I think I'll get myself a nice cold coffee and perhaps a bagel.

Deciding to take his laptop along to the café, Jungkook found a nice cosy spot at the back of the café, settled down and ordered a tall iced coffee with a chicken and mayo bagel.
