In the last part that I wrote, I mentioned that one of the struggles of an author is motivation.
One may be lacking in motivation, but be bursting with ideas for a story.
It is honestly a pain in the head.Just a reminder that the whole purpose of this writing is just to express my train of thought about writing. This has no plot or storyline whatsoever.
Motivation is complicated.
It's like a fuel that drives us writers - or anyone with a hobby - to do what we want to do.Having ideas for a story but lacking motivation is like looking at a map while in a car without gas.
You know where to go, what to do, but you don't have the means to do it. Or the drive to.The problem is... it is very hard to obtain this 'fuel' motivation.
It really depends on the person.
One may find it easy to get motivated again. Another may take months to muster up motivation to do anything. There are some sources of inspiration that could potentially boost motivation levels for a person to start writing. Such as reading a book or finding inspiration in simple things. (This is effective if you're a fantasy writer. You could find inspiration for phenomena or details in a fantasy story from anything.)
Of course, these things don't always work. Reading a book might not always help you. Or you may find inspiration but not get motivation.
Motivation really is complicated.
Techniques for one to gain motivation or stop writer's block also depend on the person. Everyone has their own ways that may or may not he efficient or effective for others.
One of my ways is to write what I think up randomly. Just type whatever is on my mind.
Which is what I'm doing now. Gaining motivation by typing my thoughts. That's all I needed to express for now. Farewell to whoever read this far.
