Toni's POV
"Nothing seems to be working for me right now so just fuck it. Forget everyone and everything else" I thought as I stared up at the ceiling from my bed. Nobody will let me live down my stupid mistakes so I'll just cut everyone off and leave.

Cheryl's POV
It's been days since anyone has seen or heard from Toni. I recently got out of the Hospital and have been staying with Betty and V under their protection and a few other Serpents. I wonder if she's okay though. I know it's my fault she left in the first place because I yelled at her but anything could happen to her and it's definitely not safe.

"Hey do you want something to eat Cheryl? You've been up here all day and you've missed breakfast and lunch" V says to me as she sits next to me on the bed.

"What time is it?" I asked

"It's 1800 hours" she tells me while showing me her phone.

"Girl I don't want military time. Not everyone wants to be a Navy officer like you" I smile looking at her.

"Okay but still! Law enforcement, Hospitals, and the Fire Department use a 24 hour clock so it's not just the military!" She laughs, raising her voice.

"Fine whatever but I'm not hungry" I tell her.

"Cheryl that's b.s and you know it. You've been saying that for the past couple days since you found out Toni disappeared." She rolls her eyes.

"It's not about Toni ok? Maybe I just don't have an appetite for other reasons" I state while changing my focus to the sun setting out my window.

"Oh yeah? Name them" I can just feel her smirking.

"Uh..." I start off but even I knew that Veronica wouldn't let me finish because she goes...

"See I knew it. You don't even have and answer so it is about Toni" she laughs.

"Okay fine, I'm worried about her but that's it." I say trying to sound serious and believable but V definitely doesn't believe me.

"Cheryl it's okay for you to miss Toni and care about her wellbeing but, it's not okay for you to starve yourself and be locked up in this room." V grabs me and pulls me into a hug. It's was one of those really nice and warm ones.

"I know" I reply mostly just enjoying the warm of her hug.

"I can get your favorite meal just say the magic words" V smirks.

"Please and thank you?" I grin

"No girl the other words" she rolls her eyes.

"Veronica is the best" I say rolling my eyes.

"That's more like it, plus I knew you were hungry" she says getting up and grabbing her keys. "I'll be right back." She smiles.

I hear her car pull off from my window. I guess she was right about Toni but I honestly don't know why I even care. She just ups and disappears and I'm supposed to be sorry for her and regret what I said? The short answer is I already do. I hate myself for what I said to her. Now she's gone and everything around here has gone to shambles.
