-Erica's POV

Everything is moving so quickly. My arms have a mind of their own as I try to help barricade the windows and doors. A walker grabs Chris's arm and I'm trying not to freak out as I bring my blade down onto it. The arm separates from the torso as it lays on the floor creating a bloody pool beneath our feet. Chris's hand lands on my chin to get me to look at him, "We need you right now. Come on. We are not losing you too," he says making my stomach turn. Me too?

I never thought something could be so loud. The moans leaving their lips as glass continuously shatters around us, "Here," Harry yells as I lunge forward to kill a walker whose head breached the barricade. I use the back of my hand and wipe the tears away as the images of Chip and Ethan replay in my head over and over again. Their screams. Everything started off so light hearted. Chip just finished telling a joke about getting with Kyleigh when we spotted them.

George and Arthur are pushing as hard as they can but they aren't strong enough. There's too many of them. There will always be too many of them.

"We have to leave," Chris yells as Kyleigh and I continue picking them off. The guys are struggling to keep their footing, "Grab the med kit," he motions at Kyleigh. I see some blood trickling down her arm from the stitches opening back up.

I motion toward the back door. Kyleigh and I run to the back to see if the coast is clear. She nods her head and I run back inside and yell for the guys. One by one they break away from the wall. Just as George makes it to the back door the hoard starts piling in. Harry and I pull the door handle separating the front to the back and slam it shut. He pushes me forward to go out and the others are halfway down the small alleyway. Arthur points to a fire escape on a building at the end of the path.

I see Kyleigh holding her arm in pain as George pulls down the ladder of the fire escape, "I'll hold them off. Get her up the ladder," I tell them as George moves to my side. Chris wants to say something but knows this is the only way. My heart sinks when I hear banging and her screams echoing against the buildings.

I turn and see her foot slick with blood dangling down as Harry holds onto her with her bad arm. Chris moves below her and helps her the rest of the way. Arthur goes up next and that's when the walkers break through the last door. George tells me to go and I climb as quickly as I can but my hands are frozen from the cold weather.

As they get closer and closer, I call George's name and he makes it up just before they reach for his leg. I turn to Kyleigh and see Chris trying to tend to her arm as she leans into Harry's chest on the ground.

The sounds of the undead down below make my skin crawl. It's all too overwhelming. I put my hands in my hair as I squat down trying not to scream. The panic rising in my chest now that we have no place to call home. A hand touches my shoulder making me jump as a familiar voice tells me it's okay, "None of this is okay," I whisper breaking the silence. I force myself to shut up as I see the look on Harry's face.

"What happened?" Harry asks as Chris hands Kyleigh his jacket, "Why weren't you looking out for each other?" He asks staring accusingly at the four of us. The tensions continue rising as everyone looks at each other in fear.

"You have no idea what you're talking about," Chris says as raindrops start falling down around us. I lift my head closing my eyes as the cold air makes it hard to breathe.

"This is totally fucked," Arthur says walking to the edge of the building. He sits down and George goes to check on him as his shoulders begin to shake. George's arm goes around him as they think about Chip and Ethan.
