↳ First Snow
Sipping on her hot cocoa, Haeun focused on the movie playing on her TV. But then the sound of a whistle made her jump. "WHAT THE-" Before she could curse, two eyes that belonged to her mother glared at her.
She gulped before turning to her side, facing a young boy. "Yah, Hojun-ah!" She flicked the forehead of the boy before going to her aunt. "Oh my, you look furious!" Her aunt laughed.
"Your son blew the whistle and damaged my eardrums." "Just bring him out for a walk and he'll stop annoying you." Her uncle peeked in to say. "Is he a dog..." Haeun mumbled to herself before going up to the boy.
"Wanna go for a-" "WALK!" He jumped up and ran to get his coat. She sighed before getting ready. The two went out into the street holding hands.
They stopped by a park and Hojun immediately went to the play area. Haeun sat down on one of the benches and scrolled through her phone. After a few minutes, she looked around to find Hojun.
But he couldn't be seen anywhere. She panicked and walked around the park, slowly getting more worried. But then she noticed a boy wearing the same hat that Hojun had on. She approached the boy to realize that he was holding hands with a man.
She squatted down to his height and tapped on his shoulder. "Hojun-" "Noona, I was looking for you!" Haeun blinked before pinching his cheek. "Why did you run away?"
"I saw this handsome Hyung!" He said, pointing to the man. She stood up and bowed to the man. She was about to thank him until she saw his face. "Wow, he's really handsome..." She thought before shaking her head.
"Thank you, Mr-" "Ah no, just call me Jungwon." He smiled making her heart skip a beat. She gulped before nodding. "Uhm, can I know your name?" He said making her surprised. "I'm Haeun." He nodded before checking his watch.
"Oh, I'm sorry but I have to go now. Bye!" He smiled once again before leaving the two. Haeun was in a daze thinking about Jungwon. The blow of the whistle made her jump once again. "AH, HOJUN!" "HEY, YOU WERE ABOUT TO CRASH INTO A TREE?!"
"oh, thanks, kid." She ruffled his hair before walking back home.
When they arrived at Haeun's house, they were greeted by a lovely threatening smile. "What took you two so long?" The voice of Haeun's brother made the two shiver. "Uhm, he got lost." She said before squeezing through the door.
The entire family had dinner before watching a classic Christmas movie, except for Haeun. She decided to go outside and witness the first snow.
Once she got out, she widened her eyes seeing a familiar face. "Oh, hi!" Jungwon waved, approaching her. "H-hi!" Just as the two got closer, a snowflake fell on Haeun's hand. "The first snow!"
The two smiled at each other as they ran around under the snow, feeling like 8-year-olds again.
What they hadn't realized was that a couple was staring at them through the window. "Babe, I bet you 100 kisses that they will end up together." Hyunsuk said as his girlfriend tilted her head. "Why would you think they would end up dating?"
"Simple, the night we met, it was the first snow. And the night my parents met was the first snow. And the night my grandparents met-" "Let me guess, the first snow?" "Yup." "But how are you so sure?"
"Hmm, let's just watch them fall in love." The man said, pulling his lover into a hug.
