"The First Snow! Let's make snowmen!" "Haeun-ah, please calm down-"
This is the story of two teenagers who experienced the First Snow of the year together. Will they never meet again, or eventually become friends? Or maybe even more.
Started: 24.1...
Haeun woke up in a bad moon on Christmas day due to the yells of her cousins. She got up and went to the living room, looking messy. "please, let me sleep, you dingdongs!" "NOPE" She facepalmed herself before returning to her room, falling face-first onto her bed.
Haeun is going to graduate high school in 2 months, and she desperately needs the sleep she has been missing.
But the parents thought otherwise. Her mother barged into the room, "KIM HAEUN, WAKE UP ALREADY!" Haeun groaned before limping to the bathroom.
She changed out of the pyjamas before going to the dinner table. Her eyes were still half-closed until someone banged a pan behind her. She jumped before yelling, "WHAT THE HECK DUDE?!"
Her cousin just laughed as he smacked her head. "Go to the convenience store, we need drinks for the children, DUDE." "Bro, you're the man-" "And aunt asked YOU to go." Haeun rolled her eyes before walking to the store.
She squatted on the floor, looking for the kids' favourite drinks. She hadn't noticed that someone was staring at her. A bottle dropped, making her look up. "Jungwon?" "Oops, you caught me!"
Jungwon laughed as he picked the bottle up. Haeun stood up feeling embarrassed. "In charge of drinks, huh?" "Sadly, yes." Jungwon chuckled, finding Haeun a little cute. "Aren't you cold?" "Hmm? What do you mean?" "You're dressed in just a hoodie."
Haeun widened her eyes, realizing that she was dressed in the most casual way ever, just a hoodie with sweatpants. Her sleepiness made her immune to the cold. "Here, take my coat, we're going to the same way anyway."
Jungwon smiled, handing his coat to the girl. They paid for their items before walking side-to-side to their homes. "Here, thanks!"Haeun gave Jungwon his coat back, making him smile brightly. "I'm glad you're not cold anymore."
Haeun entered the house, ignoring her family's stares. "Who was that boy?" Her mother asked. "Ah, it's our neighbour. He helped me carry those." Haeun said, pointing to the tens of drinks.
"You mean the neighbour you found 'interesting'?" Her cousin, Haemin said. Haeun glared at him as the adults turned to her. "You have a crush-" "NO. No, I don't, he's just an acquaintance." "soon to be boyfriend," Haemin mumbled making her pinch his arm.
On the other hand, Jungwon was greeted by his grandmother. "Won-ah, I saw a girl beside you. Was that your girlfriend? You should ask her to come by!" "Ah, she isn't my girlfriend. Halmeoni, I don't have a girlfriend-" "Don't worry Halmeoni, she'll be his girlfriend soon." His sister cut him off.
The elderly woman laughed, "Oh my, it seems your sister has already set you up with her." Jungwon shook his head vigorously, but just as he was about to deny it, his sister cut him off again. "I know you find her cute, don't worry, you'll get to see her often." She winked making him roll his eyes before going to his room.
Jungwon shut the door before covering his mouth with a pillow, screaming into it. How did his sister know?!
Indeed, Jungwon did find Haeun cute and interesting. But he wouldn't say he had a crush on her... Yet.
