THE HOMECOMING huddle was the most exciting event to occur in this small town, everyone went all out and nothing could break the towns spirit - well except the best quarterback ever getting wounded and being told he can't ever play the sport again.

Yeah, maybe that affected the towns spirit.

But it didn't affect Rosita's spirit, at this point, it seemed impossible that anything could. Nothing gets her adrenaline pumping like the sounds of a revved up crowd screaming for the cheerleaders as they danced for the team that would hopefully lead them to a victory.

But not just any victory, a victory so large that the earth trembled under the thunderous cheers of those spectating and those who played on the team, that's what this town wanted, it's what it needed.

Rosita wanted to be sure that she was on the front line watching as they won.

"Are you excited?" Catalyna questioned, leaning against the doorframe. Her dark hair falling down her back in waves, her brown eyes sparkling as she stared at her older sister.

Rosita chuckled nervously, "listen, Erin may call herself captain but I choreographed, chose the music and kept the girls from quitting every time that she got cruel."

"So you're excited?"

"No." Rosita exhales quickly. "I'm nervous as hell. This is the first time anything that I've put together being shown to... everyone."

"You're so talented, Hermana." Catalyna speaks, a smile on her face.

"Mamà would kill us if we started doubting all of our many talents now. Maybe the dancing gene runs in the family, it's in our blood."

The cheerleader flashed a smile as she stepped towards her sister, pulling her into a hug. One that they hadn't shared in a long time. They laughed as they enjoyed the embrace, unable to contain their excitement.

"You better tell, mamà."

"I'll tell her soon, promise." Rosita flashes a grin.

"She'll strangle you if she doesn't find out soon." Catalyna calls as she walks out of the room, an evil cackle following as she disappears out into the hallway.

Rosita shakes her head turning to face herself in the mirror, inspecting the outfit choice for the morning, the palm of her hands flattened down the shirt as an unexpected face popped into the back of her mind.
