The next day, Sanem stood on the edge of the marina, her hand entwined with Can's. Her other hand brushed against the soft fabric of her flowing white dress. She could still feel the warmth of the congregation's affection as they exchanged their vows and the cool touch of the rings now adorning their fingers.
"Look at her, Can," Sanem breathed out, her gaze fixed on the vessel that awaited them. "Isn't she magnificent?"
"Like a dream on the water," he replied, echoing her sense of wonder. The yacht before them was an embodiment of luxury, its sleek white hull gleaming under the fading light, a silent promise of the adventures that lay in its wake.
"Are you ready for the world, Mrs. Divit?" Can's voice was playful, his eyes twinkling with anticipation. He led her forward with a gentle tug, each step bringing them closer to the next chapter of their lives.
"Only if it's with you, Captain Divit." Sanem's response was laced with excitement and a tinge of nervousness as they approached the gangway.
The deck of the yacht welcomed them with polished teak underfoot and gleaming stainless steel railings that reflected the last rays of day. They were greeted by a warm sea breeze that carried the scent of salt and the promise of unfettered freedom. The expansive deck was adorned with plush seating areas and a table set for two, all encased in a halo of soft ambient lighting that promised intimacy and seclusion beneath the stars.
"Imagine all the places this deck will see, Sanem." Can swept his arm across the limitless expanse of ocean that stretched before them. "From here, we could go anywhere."
"And everywhere," she added, her heart swelling with the notion of exploring the globe side by side with Can. The thought of discovering new worlds with him sent a thrill through her, one that was almost as intense as the love that pulsed between them.
"Every sunrise and sunset will be ours to chase," Can said, leading her to the edge of the deck where the water churned softly against the hull. "We'll wake up to new horizons every morning."
"Can, it's... it's more beautiful than I imagined," Sanem confessed, her inner romantic ignited by the splendour surrounding them. Her eidetic memory already cataloguing every detail, from the way the light played off the water to the sound of the yacht's flag fluttering in the wind.
He pulled her close, wrapping an arm around her waist. "Not as beautiful as you."
"Flatterer," she teased, resting her head against his shoulder. Together, they watched as the captain raised the anchor, signalling the start of their voyage.
"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" Can whispered into her ear.
"That this is just the beginning?" Sanem turned to meet his gaze, seeing her own excitement mirrored there.
"Exactly." His lips met hers in a tender kiss, a prelude to countless more as they embarked on their grand odyssey.
"Goodbye, Istanbul," Sanem murmured against his mouth. "Hello, world."
