The air hummed with anticipation as the publishing house transformed into a makeshift photography studio. The scent of fresh flowers and fragrant dishes wafted through the room, mingling with the metallic tang of the camera equipment. Can stood at the centre of it all, his fingers deftly arranging an ornate platter of food just so, his eyes flicking between the dish and his camera lens.

Sanem hesitated in the doorway, her breath catching as she took in the scene before her. She could feel the weight of their unresolved issues hanging heavy in the air, but something about seeing Can so focused and absorbed in his work made her heart race. He looked every bit the artist, the lock of hair which had escaped his bun framing his face as he squinted at the viewfinder, his hands steady and sure.

"Sanem," Yigit greeted her quietly, startling her from her thoughts. "You look lovely. Red suits you."

"Thank you, Yigit." She replied with a small smile, her voice barely audible, her eyes still on Can.

"Ready for our trip?"

"Uh, yes," she replied, doing her best to match his enthusiasm

"Uh, yes," she replied, doing her best to match his enthusiasm. But her thoughts were tangled in a mess of longing and regret.

Can glanced up then, his gaze locking onto Sanem's like a magnet. They stared at each other for a moment, their unspoken words echoing between them, but neither broke the silence.

"Yigit, can you help me with this light?" someone called from across the room. With a nod, Yigit excused himself, leaving Sanem alone with her thoughts.
