Savannah's POV
"What the actual fuck!?" I said to my friend, Nadia. She put too much salt sa egg na niluluto niya. Shit. Dali-dali akong pumunta sa kanya at tinurn-off ang gas.
"I'm so sorry, I didn't know na-"
"-It's okay. I'll cook foods for us, go wake Ella instead." Putol ko dito habang tinitignan siya. I rest assured na okay lang at least hindi nasunog ang niluto. Tumango naman ito at pinuntahan si Ella sa kwarto
"I should wake up early, knowing her, gusto niya naman tumulong but she can't cook that well. Hay nako.." Sabi ko sa sarili ko. Tinapon ko iyong egg at nag luto ng iba. I just cook a bacon and pancakes since iyon naman ang usual breakfast nila.
Tapos na ako mag luto, pupuntahan ko na sana sila sa itaas ng pababa na sila. "Oh, right on time. Breakfast is ready." Ngiting usal ko.
Ella run towards me and hugged me.
"Ahh Savy I don't know what to do if you weren't here, kayo ni Nadia huhu." Sabi niya. I just smiled at her and gesture them to the dining table.
"Ah nga pala. Pupunta ba kayo ngayon sa school? It's Miss president pageant. May mga outsiders, for sure may mga pogi." Ani ni Ella.
Hm, I see. I almost forgot na may event pala kami. It's Saturday kaya maraming outsiders ang pupunta.
"Yeah, may attendance eh." Sabi naman ni Nadia. Sumang-ayon naman ako kasi classmates kami. Buti nalang talaga ay hindi ako ang naging class president, ayaw ko pa naman sa mga ganyan.
Habang kumakain ay tapatingin kami kay Ella ng bigla itong tumayo at patakbong pumunta sa kwarto niya. "Shit shit shit!" Aniya. "Are you okay, Ell?" Ani ko. "I'm late!" Sigaw nito.
We just finished our food while Ella is taking her time in her room.
"Let me wash the dishes. You should take a bath first since maaga pa tayong pupunta sa school." Sabi ko kay Nadia at kinuha ang plates sa kamay niya. Tumingin siya sa akin and I pat her head. "Ako na. Mabagal ka pa naman maligo." Tawang sabi ko. Tumawa naman siya at tumungo sa kwarto.
Tapos na ako mag hugas at pababa na din si Ella dala ang kanyang bag, her hair is a mess.
"Why are you rushing? You're hair is a mess. Ayosin mo nga muna."
Sinuklay niya ang kanyang buhok gamit ang kamay. "I just remembered that I am one of the host. Fuck, I'm late," She said and rush to the table to get the car keys. "I'll go first. Sumunod kayo ni Nadia ah? Lock the door." Nag mamadaling sabi niya at sinirado ang pinto. "Okay." Sabi ko na lang sa hangin.
Pumunta na ako sa guest room para maligo. Ako lang mag isang natutulog dito dahil gusto ko lang. Magkatabi naman Sina Ella at Nadia sa kwarto niya.
Tapos na akong mag bihis. I just wore a tunk in brown sleeves knit sweater high neck shirt and I paired it with black trousers. I just let my dark brown hair down.
Pag labas ko ay nakita ko si Nadia naka upo sa living room while watching cartoons. Napansin niya ata presensya ko kaya tumingin siya sa gawi ko at natulala. I don't know but she does this everytime.
"Let's go. It's almost 9:30." Ani ko. Natauhan naman siya at tumango sa sinabi ko. Before we leave the house ay enoff muna namin ang lahat na pwede ma off.
We were inside my car and nagpa music ako sa radio since tahimik. Nadia seems in her own world, she's quite.
Pag dating namin sa venue ay pansin ko na hindi pa nag s-start. Pumasok na kami at nag attendance.
"Where do you want to seat? Near the stage or here sa middle?" Tanong ko sa kanya.
"There, near sa stage. Ella's gesturing us to go there." Aniya kaya napa tingin ako sa tina-tanaw niya. Kumakaway nga si Ella at pinapa upo kami don. "Alright, let's go."
"Hello Nadia!! Thank you at napansin mo ako huhu." Dramang Sabi ni Ella. "No problem, ell." Ngiting sabi naman ni Nadia.
"Bakit hindi pa nag st-start?"
"Eh, may kunting problema eh kaya we delay it muna." Kamot niyang sabi.
"What? Madami ng tao tsaka pa nagka problema? Ano ba yan." Sabi ko. Napansin ko na may gusto itong sabihin. "What do you want to say, Ella? Stop making face." Dugtong ko.
"Savy, ikaw na lang pag-asa ko kaya please tulungan mo kami. Maawa ka sakin." She dramatically say.
"Ano ba gagawin?"
"Well, our singer is not around due to her emergency. After introducing the guests ay kakanta na siya pero she's not around kaya nag hahanap kami ng pamalit sa kanya. Ikaw lang tanging pag-asa ko, Sav. You know how to sing naman eh. Please, pumayag kana?" Mahabang paliwanag niya.
Wala naman akong choice kasi baka mapahiya pa sila at wala namang masama if ako unang mag perform. Kakanta lang naman. Kaya tumango na ako at malaking ngiti naman ang ni respond niya.
"Yes. Thank you! Let's go to the back stage. You need to practice your song. Feel free to choose whenever song you like." Aniya. "Do you want to come, Nade?" Tanong niya kay Nadia kaya napa tingin ako sa kanya.
"No, I'll be cheering here. Good luck, Sav!" Aniya. I just smiled at her and nod.
Kaya ko to.
Dinala ako ni Ella sa back stage and damn, andaming magagandang dilag. I need to focus. Ella introduce me to the band. Nang makapag isip na ako ng kakantahin ko ay nag start na silang magpa kilala sa mga guests.
While looking in the crowd, someone caught my attention. It's like my world stop for a moment and when she noticed me looking at her ay biglang bumilis ang tibok ng aking puso.
"And lastly, itong professor na ito ay sa ibang school nag tuturo and she's also working in the company, ang hard working niya diba. Please welcome our gorgeous professor, Professor Acosta!" Sabi ni Ella.
Tumayo siya at kumakaway sa audience. Wow. She didn't even smile, naka poker face lang ito. Nag ingay lalo ang mga audience ng tawagin ang pangalan nito.
"AND GANDA MO TALAGA PROF!"
"MARRY ME!!"
"MAMAHALIN, PAGSISILBIHAN, PAPAKASALAN, LULUHORAN!!"
What the fuck? Ehh?
"Okay okay, calm down you guys." Tumatawang sabi ng host. "The event is just starting. So know, the band will sing with our popular schoolmate. Let us welcome our first representative, Savannah Dale and the band!!" Nag ingay ang lahat. That's my cue.
Pumunta na ako sa harap at tinanaw ang audience. I reached to the microphone. "Good morning everyone. Today, I'm gonna sing "Into you", I hope you like it." Sabi ko. I roam my eyes and then there, those gorgeous eyes are watching me. I didn't break the eye contact, shit hindi ko kayang tumingin ng matagal kaya umiwas na ako.
Imahinasyon ko ba iyon or hindi? Because I think I just saw her smirk before I take my eyes off of her. Fuck, Ang sexy niya.
