Chapter 23

*Ring Ring*

My phone begins to go off.

"Fuck. Matt, I need to answer that." I say, hoping he would let me answer it.

"But babe, I'm so close." Matt whines.

"M-Matt, it could be important. Please. We can finish when I get off the phone, promise." I smiled.

"Ugh, fine." Matt said removing himself from me.

I quickly got up and ran to the phone that was sitting on the dresser.

I picked it up.

Me: "Hello?"

Mom: "Hey honey."

Me: "Oh hey mom. What's up?"

Mom: "Nothing. How are you?"

Me: "I'm good."

Mom: "Let me stop stalling. I need to ask you a question."

Me: "Okay, is something wrong?"

Mom: "No, everything is fine. We're both okay." She paused. "Your dad and I got offered a job that pays more than what we were getting payed at our old job."

Me: "That's good. Congrats."

Mom: "Thanks honey. We haven't accepted the job because we wanted to talk to you first."

Me: "Oh, why?"

Mom: "You see the job would require us staying here permanently, because of the longer hours."

Me: "Oh."

Mom: "Yeah. Since we would have to move up here, you would have to come with us. But since you are 18, it's your choice." She paused again. "We could give you some money to put down on your own apartment and you could use our old furniture for your apartment or get new ones, it's up to you. I just need your input."

Me: "Well, I uh..I think y'all should definitely take the job. But I think I am going to stay here. I could stay with my boyfriend Matt and his family until we find me a good apartment. I love y'all though."

Mom: "Okay honey. Thanks for your input, and I'm glad you're going to be living on your own. And who's Matt?"

Me: "That's my boyfriend. He is good to me, don't worry. They're good people mom. I love him dearly."

Mom: "Okay, well use protection dear. Got to go, love you."

Me: "Gahh mom. Love you too! Bye."

Mom: "Bye."

I ended the phone call.

"Hey who was that?" Matt said looking at me.

"My mom." I put down the phone and walked back to the bed, crawling under the covers.

"Oh, what'd she want?" He faced me.

"Her and my dad got new jobs and are moving up to where they work. They offered me to move with them, but I said no. I told them I would stay with you until we found a place for me." I said plainly.

"Oh, wait what? We're getting an apartment together? That's amazing!" He started to get excited.

"I mean I guess we could." I said smiling.

"Let's do it." He said with a huge smile.

"Alright. Let's do it!" I said hugging him and kissing him.

He broke the kiss.

"Wait, let's pick up where we left off shall we?" He smirked, pulling me onto his lap.
