Chapter 30

We finally got there, pulling into the parking lot, parking, getting out, heading inside.

Matt walked up to the counter, holding my hand, dragging me behind him.

"Yes, we're here to turn in some evidence." Matt spoke to the lady. She gave him a grim look, then handed him a form to fill out, once again.

"Ma'am I've already filled out one of these forms. I just need to give this to Officer Kitt." He said sternly, returning the form to the lady.

"Alright, have a seat in the waiting room please. He should be right out. Oh, may I please have a name." She asked us.

"Matthew Espinosa and (Y/N)" He told her. She nodded, as we walked over to the chairs to sit down.

"I'm glad this is almost over." I spoke, sighing in relief.

"Me to--"

"Espinosa and (Y/N)" We both looked up and saw Officer Kitt holding the door open. "This way please." He finished, as we got up and walked into the room sitting down in the empty cold chairs.

"Okay, I heard that you found evidence to support this theory about Mr. Dallas' harassment. Is this true?" He asked, looking at both of us.

"Yes it is. Look its all on this phone. We went and talked to his mother and asked her some questions about his past and the answers we got are shocking, but its on there." Matt said, pulling the phone out and laying it on the table in front of us.

"Alright, this better be good evidence or you are wasting my time." Officer Kitt spoke. I could tell he was annoyed that we were back.

"Okay, let me just play it for you..." Matt said, opening the recording and began to play it.

We all listened as the recorder was silent.

"Uh, there isn't anything on here Mr. Espinosa." Officer Kitt said, putting his notes away.

I began to freak out.

"I know its on here, somewhere. Dammit, it-it-it can't be gone. IT FUCKING CANT BE GONE!!!!!" He began to yell.

"Baby, calm down. Its okay, we can just go back to his mothers house and get the information back, I'm sure she won't mind." I tried to keep him positive and calm.

He grunted in anger, then grabbed me and pulled me up out of the chair.

"Come on we're leaving. Sorry to have wasted your time Officer Kitt. We will be back with the evidence for real this time." He then pulled me out the doors all the way to the car.

"Matthew, wait a second." I spoke, getting into the car.

"What?" He answered, a little bit angrier than he was in there.

"We can go get the information first thing in the morning. She lives like 5 minutes away from your house anyways, its okay. You don't have to be so mad, baby." I tried to calm him, but it didn't work.

"We can, but we already fucking went there. You know how hard it was for her to talk about her son like that? It was horrible. I don't want to make her do that again, plus we spent forever there. I just don't understand how it got erased." He sighed loudly, running his fingers through his hair messing it all up. Ooh my god, that was hot.

"Maybe somehow someone knew that we were going to give the police evidence and they hacked the phone and deleted it, I don't know." I said, grabbing the phone and looking at it to see if it wasn't still there.

A text message appeared, making a ding sound.

"Who's that from?" Matt asked, leaning over to have a look. He suddenly went calm.

"I-I'm not sure. It says its from 'RESTRICTED'..." I spoke, looking over at Matt, then back to the phone.

"Open it..." He told me.

I quickly opened it and read it out loud.

"(Y/N), you think going to my mother's house and asking her questions is enough to get me to go to prison? No, I can't have that. You bad little girl, you need to pay for your actions. Oh and don't worry about your little friend Hannah, she's fine, but she could be better. I've also got a few other friends of yours as well. Expect me later tonight for a small surprise, or a big one...however you look at it. Bye!"

I started to tear up, as I finished reading the message out loud.

Matt leaned over, took the phone away and just hugged me as I cried onto his shoulder, letting out all of my emotions.

"I don't understand why he would be doing this to us M-M-Matt.." I cried harder.

"Shhh, it's okay (Y/N). He won't get you tonight, you'll be with me. I'll stay up all night if I have to, to protect my baby girl." He spoke. Those words comforted me, and made my crying turn into a soft whimper.

"Thanks Matthew, I'm glad someone loves me and protects me in this cruel world." I said, wiping my eyes.

"You're more than welcome. I will always love and protect you, until the last breath I take on this earth. I love you (Y/N) and there is no one else I would rather be with." He smiled, cupping my face with his hands wiping the extra tears away.

"I love you too Matthew and I always will." I smiled, bringing him close to kiss me.

College is going great, but I've been so sleep deprived it's crazy. I need like maybe a good week to fix my sleep schedule, probably a lot longer lol.

Sorry for the short chapter I had to cut up some chapters into two smaller chapters haha.
