The hushed voices of the common room began to fill with the familiar laughter of Enzo as he chuckled and slapped his knee at Theo's comment.

"what's so funny?" Pansy questioned as she took a seat next to Draco.

The first day of lessons had just finished and the group had decided to catch up by the roaring fire in the common room.

Pansy snuggled closer to Draco only to be blatantly ignored.
Anastasia began to walk towards them being held up by a first year asking her where his dorm was. "How am i supposed to know" she asked "read your map" then she simply said walked off.

"HE, HE, AND THEN I BUT THEN AHAHAHAHAH HE DID THE..." Enzo attempted to construct a sentence between laughs.

"wow... top tier comedy that" Anne replied sarcastically.

"Oh great little miss snarkys here" Draco laughed "Oh shush blondy bonce, it's not my fault you lack the ability to make a joke." Montgomery replied cheekily smiling and flicking ash from the fire at the overly dressed boy.

She took a seat next to Theodore, lifting her feet over his legs in a comfortable manner.

"Oh girls," Draco began, "We've gained another member to our group."

"OOOOO exciting." Pansy practically squealed, slapping Draco's knees with joy, "tell more."

Anastasia simply listened to the conversation slightly excited herself, she loved her friends more than anything and thought having another one wouldn't hurt.

He mind was filled with ideas of who they could be. Another girl, sarcastic and witty like her or another boy cute and charming like Enzo. They could fit right into the group.

Of course they would have to be pure blood, more than likely rich to fit with Draco's standards. Anne didn't mind so much.

"Mattheo Riddle."

Silence.

Pansy's eyes found Montgomery's. A look of fear flashed in her eyes and there was no doubt that Anne's were flickering with a spark of red. Filling like poisonous blood.

Anger.

"What the fuck Draco"  the words dripped out in a monotone voice.

"Annie, don't be like that he might have changed since then"

This was not the first time that the Riddle name had surfaced in her life.

Years ago when Anastasia was in her first year Mattheo attended the school too, only he was pulled out in third year to be trained by his father for the upcoming war.

Many people say that when boys are young they will pull a girls hair to show affection, or trip them up on their way to the swings at the park.

This was not the case for Mattheo Riddle, he would spit cruel words in Anne's direction simply because she existed on this earth. He would cruelly refuse to acknowledge her presence in any room and bitterly bully her any chance he had.

Not to mention his horrid looking face. Last she remembered he was short with teeth that stuck out in all directions and wiry hair which lay flat on his head like a dead skunk.

"Why in gods name would you even speak to that freak?" Anastasia question Draco bluntly.

"It wasn't just me y'know. We all agreed."

"Then what's wrong with all of you." Anastasia stood up eyes still burning red and turned to leave.

Her body instantly crashed into a man, only making her more frustrated.

"Nice to see you didn't forget about me Monty" A cold, sophisticated voice spoke from above her.

She turned her head up, and there he stood.

Only he looked entirely different to before. He had grown to tower above her and when looking up she noticed his face wasn't scrawny or horrid anymore. He had a strong jawline and a smirk imprinted on his soft lips. His dark brown eyes looked like the devil had crafted them from hand.

His hair was no longer wiry but soft laying in perfect curls on his head.

She hated to admit but he had grown to be completely beautiful.

"Like what you're looking at...is that why your staring." He grinned evilly.

"I don't know what i'm looking at to be honest, it's either a frog or some type of troll." Anastasia bluntly replied. He eyes becoming a deeper crimson.

This created a tense atmosphere, none of her friends knowing how to react. None wanting to be seen laughing at her joke by Mattheo.

"Glad to see you haven't changed. Still looking like an underdeveloped rat i see."

Mattheo's stance still had not changed towering above her head as though he held all the power in the world. His world seeped out of his mouth slow and venomously. As though each word had its own condescending intentions.

"And you're still an insecure, little bitch with daddy issues."

Anastasia gave him no time to reply, knowing that her emotions would get the better of her and the two would create a scene for the whole common room.

She barged passed his shoulder making her way to her dorm.

She didn't look back. She didn't see Mattheos broad grin as though he was enjoying the adrenaline of her hatred.

She was completely unaware that to him this was a game. Who will break first?

He had no intention of loosing that was for sure.
