Kevin's Party

"Can you two stop making out for a few seconds so that I can steal my best friend and dance with her."Megan whined she was a little drunk.

I pulled my lips away from Kevin's and chuckled.

"This is a rager party Faye, let's dance."She grabbed my wrist and

pulled me to the dance floor dancing with me.

"I'm going to the bathroom."I yelled into Megan's ear and walked up the stairs to the bathroom. I thought back to freshman year and how quickly I was falling for Kevin knowing I shouldn't have. I looked in the mirror and fixed my lipgloss and adjusted my hair before walking back out.

I walked to the railing and looked down watching as Megan pulled Kevin's hand and disappeared to the hallway. I slowly followed behind them and stopped at the doorway.

"We shouldn't be doing this Megan.."Kevin whispered, taking off her clothes.

"Yeah, say you want me to stop, you've been "flirting" with me all summer."She slurred and pushed him down on the bed. Every horrible action was breaking my heart.

"Your right, I want you bad but I like Faye..she's all the things I want in a girl"He mumbled and I couldn't help but smile.

"Sweet and wholesome won't get you this far now will it."They both stopped talking and continued to do whatever it is that they were doing. I knew but I couldn't imagine it, I sighed and closed the door for them before leaving the party all together.

They thought I wouldn't notice their hookups around school in the janitors closet and supply closet. It was tearing me alive but I wouldn't act on it just yet. That afternoon, during a science class that I didn't have with them. I waited for them at one of their locations the one nearest their biology class.

"Faye, what are you doing out here?"Megan asked her voice gaining pitch before Kevin came stumbling out after her grabbing her waist and turning to me. He quickly snatched himself away from her.

"Wow, you two make a happy couple fucking all over the school whenever a chance makes itself available, I've known since the first day of school, you don't wink at my bestfriend...idiots. I guess I'm too sweet to have sex with you. So this ends our friendship and relationship.

"Faye wait.."Megan cried, running after me grabbing my shoulder and turning me around.

"Why didn't you tell me you knew?"She sobbed.

"You feel that?....it's called guilt and I want it to eat you alive. you knew I liked him and still went after him. I guess that just makes you easy Megs."I smirked and walked into my next period class...patiently waiting for school to be over.

"Mama!!"I shouted before going into a fit of sobs.

"Whats the matter baby?"she came running to my side,sitting me down on the couch.

"Megan and Kevin have been sleeping with each other for the past summer and It's just hitting me."I sobbed into her shoulder as she rubbed my hair.

"Aye mami you need me to call in some favors cause I can, your abuela is a thug in prison."She growled.

"No ma, nooooo thanks I'll be fine, I'd rather not imagine abuela with prison tattoos."We both burst into a fit of giggles before she wiped my face with a tissue.

"We have to see her tomorrow anyway.."She sighed and went to the kitchen to start dinner.

"I miss her mama, I may not know her or the reason she's in jail but she's my only abuela...Jennifer isn't my abuela. I need my real abuela."I said,helping her out.
