Chloe and I got closer and closer as the school year deepened.
"Hey I sort of nominated you to be student body president."Chloe said as she fixed her make up in the mirror.
"That's cool, this school could use a little shaking up."I laughed and slung my bag over my shoulder as we walked together.
"Only problem is that Megan is your running mate and if you win she becomes your VP unless Rachel wins."
"I can beat Megan with my hands behind my back, its all about strategy, knowing how to get your point across and knowing people...I don't treat people bitchy and I know half the school."I smiled suddenly feeling confident.
"Will you be my very pretty campaign manager."I smiled child like and giggled.
Chloe knew everyone and she had a fair advantage of the jocks and cheerleaders because she was an athlete.
"I'd thought you never ask."She smiled and pulled a basket of decorated cookies with "Vote 4 Faye" on them.
"Chloe you are a mastermind."I grabbed the megaphone from my locker another perk of being an athlete.
"Vote 4 Faye for you student body president and Prom Princess."I smiled sweetly walking ahead of Chloe as she passed the cookies out.
"If you vote for me, I promise more arts programs will get recognized..I'll send the chess club on local competition sand have some of the art decorated all around school. For our more performing students we will put on a play and a showcase to really show off your talents..Again Vote for Faye."I blew a kiss and winked at Megan as we walked past her.
I could tell she was seeking with anger it made me laugh. Chloe and I handed out the cookies until they were all gone.
"Great cookies Faye."Jill smiled as she walked past us.
"I think day 1 of campaigning was awesome."Chloe smiled and out the empty basket on the seat next to her.
"Sleep over to discuss our next moves?"I bit into the sandwich I was holding.
"Can't, I'm going to meet Devin's parents tonight."Chloe murmured.
"Oh my gosh, you two are actually getting serious! I can't believe it."I gasped in shock.
"Yeah, the relationship is going perfect because it's on the down low people know we are dating, we just don't put our business out there like Megan and Kevin."Chloe nodded her head and pointed to Kevin who was making out with Megan.
"Those two are disgusting, they deserve each other."Devin came over to the table and kissed Chloe's forehead lightly.
"Awwww...well I'm going to go..I have some things I need to handle...Devin you tell all your jock friends to Vote Faye."I pointed at him and walked backwards.
"Oh girl you know the football squad gots yo back."He said with a girlish attitude, I bumped into someone.
"Sorry."My face looked apologetic as he threw his lunch in the trash.
"Maybe you should watch where you are going the next time."He hissed in a dark unamused tone.
"Here,"I handed him $5 to get another lunch and walked away before he could object the money.
I walked to my locker only to find Kevin standing in front of it. I groaned and rolled my eyes slowing my pace as I got closer to my locker.
"Excuse me Kevin but I need to get in my locker.."he awkwardly moved to the side, before grabbing my waist.
"Get off of my you pig."I pushed him away only to be slammed against the lockers.
"You know you still want me."He whispered closing in my neck. I was ready to kick him in the balls before he was sent crashing into the lockers opposite of me.
"I don't ever want to see you touch her again."The boy from earlier snapped grabbing Kevin's jaw in a child like manner and throwing him to the ground.
"Thank you..."I started only to see he was walking down the hall.
I closed my locker and ran to the bathroom calling my abuela.
"He tried to touch me...grandma."I sobbed heavily.
"Don't you worry your pretty head about a thing let abeulita handle it."The dial tone came quicker than expected. I continued on with my day with my head low and out of the business. After the little stunt Kevin pulled I was out of it completely.
