As Tom's parents entered the home after Emma and Tom's return from their honeymoon, a subtle air of surprise and confusion settled upon them. The absence of pictures featuring Tom and Emma, coupled with the presence of old photographs of Tom with Rachel, created an unexpected scene.

Tom's Mother: (visibly surprised) "Oh my, where are the pictures of Tom and Emma? Did they forget to put them up?"

Tom's Father: (looking around) "This is peculiar. Why are there only pictures of Tom and Rachel?"

Emma: (greeting them) "Welcome! I hope you had a pleasant journey. Please, have a seat."

Tom:(noticing their expressions) "What's going on?"

Tom's Mother:"We were just surprised to see only pictures of you and Rachel in the bedroom. Where are the pictures of you and Emma?"

Emma:(smiling) "Well, you see, Tom and I agreed to keep the bedroom as is for now. It's a work in progress, but we thought it would be nice to preserve the past while building our own future together."

Tom:(nodding) "Yes, we're taking things one step at a time."

The sun had just begun to cast its golden glow across the city as Emma, the dedicated economics professor, prepared to head to the university. Meanwhile, Tom, still adapting to the nuances of married life, was in the midst of his morning routine, getting ready for the day ahead.

Emma: (calling from the living room) "Tom, do you need anything before I leave?"

Tom: "No, I'm good. Have a great day at the university."

As Emma left, Tom couldn't help but ponder the delicate balance they were trying to strike between their individual lives and their newfound shared space. When he reached his office, a lively environment filled with colleagues welcomed him.

Tom's Colleague (Mark): "Hey, Tom! Word on the street is you got hitched. Congratulations, man! When's the housewarming party?"

Tom: (smiling nervously) "Uh, thanks, Mark. I appreciate it. I'll have to check with Emma and get back to you on that."

Throughout the day, the idea of a housewarming party lingered in Tom's mind. When he returned home, he found Emma immersed in her work.

Tom: (tentatively) "Emma, my colleagues are asking about a housewarming party. What do you think?"

Emma: (looking up from her books) "A housewarming party could be a nice way to meet people and build connections. What's on your mind?"
