yan's childhood hadn't been the greatest, though it also hadn't been the worst. From a young age, he found that he was treated differently compared to his human siblings. He'd been adopted into a family of humans, a family which had no regards for the elvish traditions and beliefs he would normally be surrounded with had he continued to live in an elvish home.
Like the young boys of the family, Ryan's hair was kept short, inadvertently disconnecting him from his culture. While his time around his human family wasn't the greatest, Ryan still had the opportunity to befriend others.
He and Kain had met when they were kids, and from childhood into their teens, they had stuck together through thick and thin...
That is until word got out that Kain had killed someone. Ryan had been afraid at first, as anyone would be. But, he trusted Kain enough as a friend to flee from the country with, at least until things calmed down enough to return.
It was the perfect opportunity for Ryan as well, an opportunity to get away from his human family, as things had begun to grow worse for him while under the family's roof.
So, he left with Kain for a certain duration of time, before eventually making his way back into the Republic of Unity, where he located himself a set of farm land to purchase. It was an expensive purchase, but Ryan intended to make use of it.
This eventually led him to the discovery of a dragon black market, a place of ugly sights and ideas and so on. He met Sihu and Aiki in this very black market. He didn't have much coin on him, so, he resorted to thievery, under the belief that he was doing something good.
His actions had some negative consequences down the road, but many more positive things came with this decision of his.
Getting Aiki and Sihu out of a place like that inspired Ryan to run a sanctuary of sorts, a place of safety to all dragons, especially for those dragons in need of it.
After accepting a contract with Kain he found himself on the run from Igneus. Ryan and Kain eventually came to terms with their adoration with each other, and quickly fell in a deep romance. Now Kain and Ryan live together.
