Second Chances (Christmas Dramione)

It turns out that not only Theo and Harry were at the Manor for the holidays, but Blaise was there too, along with his new girlfriend, Ginny Weasley. And through the course of the day, Ron Weasley and Lavender Brown showed up, to the delight of Hermione. All of her friends were coming over. She had thought those were the last two, but a few hours later there was a knock at the door and Luna Lovegood and Neville Longbottom walked in, Luna immediately eyeing the mistletoe that was hanging a few feet away. She was most assuredly on the lookout for Nargles.

Everybody was gathered on comfy chairs, couches and bean bags in the largest room downstairs, a fireplace crackling nearby and a beautiful Christmas tree, courtesy of Theo. Narcissa had baked several treats, and everyone was snacking on them, while also drinking hot chocolate. Narcissa was chatting with Hermione in a corner of a large sectional couch, and Theo was entertaining the others, flailing about because Luna told him he had a bunch of Nargles in his hair.

"Hermione dear, would you like to see some baby pictures of Draco?" Narcissa asked loud enough that the others could hear.

At that, Draco, who had been cracking up at Theo, came rushing over to his mother and girlfriend.

"Mother, I hardly think Hermione wants to-"

Hermione looked up at him and grinned. "Oh, but I do, Draco. I really do."

Narcissa pulled out her wand. "Accio baby album!" She said, and a moment later a green book had flown into her hands. "Now, does anyone else want to see? Gather around, hurry now."

All of Hermione's friends gathered on the floor because Hermione took up the spot next to Narcissa. It looked like Narcissa was reading a bedtime story to everyone. Draco was clawing at the air and then his face from embarrassment.

"Now, here is my sweet baby Draco attempting to fly on his toy broom," Narcissa explained, as she pointed to a moving picture on the first page of the photo album. Baby Draco was hovering a few feet and then fell off, and all of them laughed.

"I can fly that toy broom way better," Theo pointed out.

Narcissa showed several photos of Draco as a baby up until a year or two before he went to Hogwarts. He really was a happy baby and kid, which was fun to see. That was his true personality and what would have stayed if it hadn't been for Lucius taking control.

After a while they all took their seats again, and Luna wandered over to Theo.

"Can I borrow that toy broom you have?" She asked. "I want to check out that mistletoe to see if the Nargles are still there."

Theo handed it over and then started combing through his hair with his fingers.

"Oh, the Nargles aren't in your hair anymore," she assured him. "I'm sure they were only there because you were decorating." And with that, she skipped over to where the mistletoe was hanging.
