"Ok so let me get this straight," spoke Kaori over the phone, "He said he'd stay with you forever and you're still not a couple?!" "Yes," you answered flatly.
"You've gotta be pulling my dick," Yukie chimed in. She and the other girls had been on call with you for a while now as you told them about your whole day with Ennoshita. "Uh...I don't think that's the right term," said Yachi.
"It's not?" Yukie asked. "No, I think you meant to say leg, 'you've gotta be pulling my leg'." Yukie paused for a moment. "Nah, that doesn't make sense. Dick sounds much better."
"Nevermind that," Kaori interrupted with an exasperated sigh. "Y/n, what else happened?" The call went silent again as the girls all waited for you to carry on with your explanation of how the day went. You began where you'd left the story off - well, more where you'd been interrupted.
Ennoshita had told you he'd stay with you forever and nothing had ever sounded sweeter. Afterwards, he took your hand and led you toward the library where you both got distracted picking up books that you'd already read and giving the other your review on it.
"Carrie," he said, "it used to be my favourite book in middle school." "Mine was The Haunting of Hill House." "That book's incredible." "Agreed."
"Awww." Yukie cooed. "You're perfect for each other!" Kaori laughed. "Leave it up to you two to be the ones in middle school who loved horror books. The kids at our school were scared of Coraline."
"No way hahaha who would be scared of that movie?!" Said Yachi. "Oh, Yachi," said Kiyoko and the girls laughed. "What happened next?" She asked once the laughter had died down.
"We studied and then I went home," you said.
Yukie screeched. "THAT'S IT?! Where's the juice?!" "Ew," said Kaori.
"Juice?" You said. "Like the details!" "Oh." "Well?"
You thought back to the moment. In the library, you sat with Ennoshita opposite you. He read while you studied and it was mostly quiet and still but every now and then, you'd feel Ennoshita's eyes on you and it would make you flush. When you looked at him, he looked back down at his book, cheeks pink.
"Now that's the juice." "Never speak again," said Kaori. "Ugh! Whatever!"
A knock on your door caught your attention. It was Goro, you could tell. Even though he technically shared your room now, he still made the decision to knock.
"I have to go," you said to the girls. "Awwwwww. Boo!" Yukie whined.
"Okay, Y/n! Talk to you later," said Yachi.
Kaori and Kiyoko said goodbye to you as well and once you hit end call, you opened the door for Goro who held a large bag.
